CCH YPL3-08C 8000 BTU Air Conditioner

So easy to use. This is the second summer I've been using this a/c.Set up was tricky for 2 out of three of the windows I have ever used this in. The first window was a vertical window that you had to spin the handle to open it outward. It took a lot of tape and cardboard to block the openings but there is no other type of air conditioner for those kinds of windows so just get ready for the fight. The second worked great/ as it was supposed to. I just had to remove the extension to the window block and put a small piece of cardboard to block a small section. The third window, and where it will be staying is too skinny to use even just the one pane that the exhaust hooks up to. Cue more cardboard and tape.Other than the questionable set-up this a/c can turn the room from 92 to 78 in no time. I've considered purchasing a second but my summers barely last long here and I can't justify it. If I do break down and get a second a/c I'll defintiely purchase another one of these.TIP keep it on auto so you don't have to drain any water.

Excellent Unit. Cools a large bedroom in 10 minutes. Takes out Humidity! Not loud. Bought two and told my mom and she loves hers too. No noises, no leaks, no problems. Fits with attachments in our side windows for our apartment and in my moms old house up down window! Save me money on electricity toooooo. Worth every penny! Just remember to let sit for 24 hrs after delivery they get tossed around and just like your fridge delivery guys say don't plug in for 24 hours just SMART. Could have come with extra screws since they are so small they can be lost and extra foam but just have to save and store well!

I'm not the largest fan. Only cools room to about 72, when I want 68. Insanely loud, I have to turn my television up quite a bit to be able to hear anything, and even then it's just too much. If I can find a reasonable priced alternative, I'm going to immediately return it. Far too loud to be used in any room where you want to hear something or sleep.

The media could not be loaded.  Installed unit and within 15 minutes, a horrible screeching sound started coming from unit. The only way to get the screeching to stop is to prop the front of the unit up which I imagine is dangerous considering the drainage system. I am providing video of the horrible and unbearable sound with this review. I am also having to now disassemble and repackage this unit for UPS after spending quite a deal of time installing it considering the exhaust parts did not properly fit my window at all, for return to Amazon and since they no longer have this in stock, now have to search for another comparable unit. All in all, I'm a wholly dissatisfied customer and will definitely think twice before buying another 'Prime exclusive' product.*I also had to lug this 60+ pound unit up 5 flights of stairs to get it to my apartment. I am bitter to say the least that I carried a heavy, defective unit up so many stairs only to now have to lug it down those same steps in order to return this.

Doesn't cool the way I would like. Maybe because I have a bug living room. Tank fills up quickly. Loud af. Since I'm in nyc I won't be using all that much only during the summer months anyway.

This is exactly what I needed. I work from home and it gets really hot in my room/office and this was perfect. It easily cools down a 300-400sq. ft. room and it's really easy to install and move to a different room. I have it in my room/office while I'm working and then move it to the living room after I'm done working. I highly recommend this for something like an apartment or if you just need to keep one room cool.

A heatwave has hit the PNW and with no central air, I had to do something. I purchased this portable air-conditioner and after a week of daily use, it has been a life saver! My room is 200 sq ft and it comfortably cools my room to a comfy 74 degrees. It was an easy setup and the window panel perfectly fit my 45" right to left sliding window. So far has met my cooling needs. I'd recommend.

i took a chance on this for my upstairs bedroom in my split level home. it is working very well to even out the temperature during the past week. its substantial and more slimline than i expected. being able to roll it around is a convenience for us. good buy, i would say
