Great quality tools, but Amazon delivery service lies constantly.
These are high quality tools in a nice zip up, protective case. I am very pleased with them, but I'm using this review to point out the continued lying by the Amazon delivery service. If I click on track package, this is a copy and paste of what I get.Delivered Tuesday, December 11Your package was delivered. It was handed directly to a resident." I ordered hundreds of things from Amazon, and I've gotten this very message more times than I can count. In reality, I have never had a package handed directly to me. One recent package which they claimed was handed directly to me, actually went this way. I was out of town on the delivery day. In fact I was out of town the entire week. After I got home I looked around for the package of four, Glass nail files, which they said were handed directly to me. They were nowhere to be found, so because I needed them, and they were only $9 or so, I reordered them. I received those with no problems, even though once again the tracking said they were handed directly to me when they were actually just left on my porch. A day or so later I was talking to my neighbor, and mentioned how I had to reorder the nail files. He looked surprise, and asked me to wait a moment while he ran inside his house. Moments later he emerged with a chewed up, small cardboard box containing two glass nail files, one of which was broken. The box was the inner packaging, and had no Address for identifying marks on it. He told me he had taken it from a neighborhood dog who was trying to bury it in his front yard. So much for Amazon delivery handing it directly to the resident. Stop lying to me!!!! Get your delivery personnel under control, at least to the extent that they can say. LEFT OIN THE FRONT PORCH! Information is useless unless it's the truth! What are the odds this will get published?

Poor quality
If you're just repairing something and don't anticipate using these repeatedly, you might be ok. If you want to make jewelry, you are better off buying name brand tools on the lower end of the cost spectrum than buying this kit, because you will end up replacing the tools related to wire and cutting. The flush cutters have a dull point, so you have to bend your loops rather wide to reach in there to snip the wire. The chain nose pliers, flat nose pliers, and round nose pliers will scratch your wire to oblivion as they are very rough. My set feels very textured on the inside- the part where the tool makes contact with the wire. I'm not sure about everyone else's sets, but I don't think even taping the inside of these would alter the roughness enough. I will be fair and mention that I have not used the crimpers yet, as I'm still doing wire wrapping and chain jewelry, so I cannot speak to their quality. I also don't use the awl or shovel. The awl looks like it's a good quality- almost identical to the one I have used for bookmaking and another one that I have used for pottery wheel work. The grips on each tool are nice, as well. My experience level with jewelry making is a beginner, and wish I had just cobbled together a kit of chain nose pliers, round nose pliers, and some flush cutters for $5 more.

They corrode very quickly.
They rusted within just a few days of opening them. The oil that is on them protects them from this but as soon as you start using the tools it comes off and tests very quickly.

Wonderful tools at a bargain price! Thanks!
I've been using these tools for the past couple days making some bracelets, and they are really great. Make sure to wipe them down with a clean cloth before using otherwise the oil (used to keep the parts moving) will get your items dirty. There's a note included explaining just this, and it's a good thing I read it because there was a lot of black on my cleaning cloth! I had no issues with anything, and the pliers line up perfectly and the tweezers are perfect for picking up the tiniest beads. The grips are comfy, and applied well. Fast shipping, and you really can't beat the price. A great value for everything you get. Those not used to jewelers tools will find them small compared to non-jeweler tools (I had my regular wire cutters purchased at a hardware store next to these wire cutters and they were about 1.5X the size) but they are supposed to be small. The case is great for when you need to pack the tools, but I just leave them out all the time.

Didn't seem high grade
One of the pliers broke during 1st use. During a jewelry show, I learned that you should probably pay about $15 to $20 per pliers, if you want quality pliers. Also choose a reputable, proven manufacturer. (Possibilities include wubbers, xuron, lindstrom)

Problem with the chain nose pliers
First let me say that, for the most paper this is a decent kit and a good value. All the tools except the chain nose pliers are correct and decent quality. However, the chain nose pliers have serrated jaws, which makes them unsuitable for use with soft metals, like silver and copper, which are the most popular metals for jewelry-making. This was very disappointing, because otherwise this is a nice little kit, the flush cutter makes a nice flat cut, and the inclusion of crimpers, tweezers, and an awl is very nice.

Good starter kit
Not the best quality but not horrible. Nice case and they get the job done. Good for your first set of tools before spending money on a good set. Also much smaller than I expected. Makes a good spare kit for travel.

Just what was promised
I have always been interested in a jewelry making hobby. I ordered these jewelry tools after doing some pretty extensive research on what I would need to start. When this kit arrived it was exactly as promised. The items were sturdy and appear to be ones that will hold up. What I liked about this kit in particular is that it included a crimper tool. Most of the other assembled kits I found had everything but a crimper. Saved me extra time and money buying one separately.
