For Nintendo Wii U Wireless WIFI Module Circuit Board mica2 mic-a2 Game Pad Repair Part

Over the course of 3 years of ownership of our windwaker-limited edition wii-u, the range of the controller dropped from about 8 feet max to literally inches. My 5 year old son had set up a little seat directly next to the Wii U console so he could use it to play. On the "plus side" it forced him to learn the wiimote usage but otherwise generally sucked. So the range went from crap to useless.Cut to last week. Do some research, find out my problem is not uncommon AND a replacement part is sold. Normally i am weary of this kind of stuff when the moon is promised, but given that the cost of the replacement part is only $12 and the custom screwdriver kit $5, and that i am not afraid of the inside of a computer I figured I'd give it a go: I was getting ready to either buy a new one or send mine out for a costly repair, I figured it's worth a shot.TLDR; WOW! After the CAREFULLY replacing the piece I have to say the transformation was amazing. Where we were getting a range of inches, we now have a range closer to 20 feet, and due to placement my son can play both in the game room, downstairs in the living room (rejoining the family), he can use the wii-u controller in his bedroom and pretty much anywhere in the house except from the diametric opposite of the location of the console in the house.

As advertised it fixed the problem and watching a video on YouTube on how to replace it was very easy. Now my Wii U connects to the game pad!

Our GamePad would not communicate with the WiiU console of it was more than 6 inches away. We looked into replacement gamepads and found that they run about $150! I decided to experiment first and found GamePad breakdown articles on the web. I was hoping it was something as simple as a disconnection from the antenna but everything seemed connected well in the GamePad. I kind of stumbled upon this wireless card for the GamePad and decided to give it a shot. The risk of wasting $15 on this card outweighed the $150 I would have to spend on a new GamePad. Luckily this card worked and now the GamePad can communicate with the WiiU again. My kids are happy and I am happy to have saved some money.

This was a little bit on the expensive side while I have found other products like this for 5$ instead of 10$, but I had to go with this one due to no other ones being on sale the day I went online to buy one. It works as intended, it has worked perfectly fine since I bought it and replaced my old one with it. Its range is the near exact same as my old one before that one started bugging out and breaking, so it's more-so of a replacement product than a range extender, but there was no advertisement/detail about this being a range extender so good stuff to them.

I couldn't figure out how to write Amazon or the sales to let them know my antenna piece does not work. After I install it, it will not connect to my wii u no matter what I do. I tried to sync the game pad to the Wii u console. I tried placing the gamepad right in front of the console and on top of it. Nothing would work. So I had to take everything back apart and switch back to the old one that had zero range but worked....Please help me figure out how to resolve this matter! I either want a working piece or a refund please!!The piece came in right on time however.I'm sorry for the beginning of this review. As stated I couldn't find where to message the saler

When I received it, it looked as if it had been ripped off of another device as the back was torn. It also did not match the pictures exactly but I decided to try it in my Wii U Gamepad anyway to see if it would work. After installing it, the Gamepad would not even connect to the console at all. This is obviously used - it game broken and did not even serve its purpose

After replacing the screen/digitizer we discovered the WiiU would not stay connected to the console, so we bought this to try and fix it as the issue was reported frequently. It arrived quickly and as described and our problem is now fixed. There are instructions on the internet that can make this a very simple fix.

Fixed the range issue with my old 8gb model i got at a yard sale for next to nothing. The pad had to be directly on top of the console to maintain an unstable connection, now i can take it about 30 ft away under ideal circumstances, just got yesterday( had a bit of an id10t error when putting it back together but thats on me)
