Like it used to be
I was born in 70 - so I grew up with glass bottle drinks with real sugar. Around this time of year, I usually get some to share with my kid (22) so they can get an idea of what things were like back in my childhood. I still drink Dr. Pepper today (in plastic bottles only) and I had always felt something was missing. It was. The stronger hint of the cherry flavor. This wasn't cheap, but it seems like none of the glass bottles with sugar are now. It was very much worth it for the taste and the experience. I will probably have to keep an eye on them, as my kid very much loves the taste of yesteryear.

Just Like the Old Days
Grew up as a child on the sugar based sodas, though not so much the glass bottles. Noticed as a teenager in the 80's that the sodas tasted a bit flatter & more syrupy. Then I found that the reason was the brands switching cane sugar out for high fructose corn syrup. Anybody remember the 'New Coke' to 'Coke Classic' sham? Now I can get Mexican Coke in most supermarkets by the bottle or case, but the last time Dr. Pepper did their Heritage reissue with sugar in the stores, was about 3-4 years in the stores. Couldn't find it after the reissue ended. Also at the time, Dublin Dr. Pepper was discontinued after legal action (for those commenters who asked prior, Dublin Dr. Pepper with sugar was made by a bottler in Dublin TX and was being shipped outside of its market/territory, the parent company Snapple had a fit over that & sued the bottler to stop production). So anyways, this Dr. Pepper tastes great, nice fizz to it, and glass is always a better option to plastic. The packaging was really secure, lots of styrofoam packing, all the bottles arrived safely (now I got to figure out what to do with all the packing).Yes, the price is a bit of a bummer, but if you do not order it all the time, its a bit easier to stomach (I use the soda only for special guests or times to celebrate). Figure that I won't have to reorder until the end of summer.

Dr Pepper lovers rejoice!
It had excellent packaging. I love Dr Pepper more than I love most people. I have to have the Cane Sugar because my Dr said I should limit high fructose corn syrup in my diet. I was trying not to drink it at all. I know now that I in fact amaddicted to Dr Pepper.

Amazing
Ok, we in DFW are getting desperate for Dr Pepper made with real sugar, rarely seen since the pandemic. So I went and searched Amazon, of course it was available. The price is a little steep, but it included shipping. I wondered how they would get glass bottled soda delivered without the glass breaking. Nonetheless, I ordered it. The box was shipped UPS ground, arrived about a week later. I opened the box and smiled. Inside were three cartons with 4 bottles each. All were packed well in high quality bubble wrap. All survived the trip. NOTE: the cardboard cartons holding the bottles are the same as you would find in a grocery store. They are somewhat flimsy, be careful lifting them from the box. One of mine tore and the bottle fell back into the box when I lifted them out, fortunately none broke. Hold the bottom of the carton holding the sodas when lifting them out. I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Tasted more like cough syrup than Dr. Pepper
I’m a die hard Dr. Pepper fan and have ordered glass bottles from this seller twice previously which were all delicious, but this batch was extremely disappointing. They taste more like cough syrup than Dr. Pepper, so maybe this batch was flat? There were also many labels missing from the bottles. It’s frustrating when you spend $40+ dollars and it isn’t eligible for a refund.

Very close and better than high fructose corn syrup version!
Firstly, I'm from Texas and drank Dr. Pepper growing up as a kid. It's hands down my favorite pop (or soda if you're from the west coast LOL). It's been years since I drank a "real" version w/ cane sugar, so this was a splurge. @ $3+/bottle it took me awhile to justify the price. It was worth it!It came packaged amazingly well with individual packaging for each bottle + 4-bottle cardboard holders so I could move it from the larger shipping box to individual holders. Nice touch! So 5-stars for the packaging. These are real bottles w/ real sugar. But what kind of sugar? My first bottle was heaven, considering it had been so long since tasting the real version. Perhaps my tastebuds adjusted, but the rest didn't quite hit that true Dr. Pepper flavor. It tasted closer to root beer sometimes. The ingredients on the bottle says "sugar", not "cane sugar". Therefore I can only assume this batch (or all batches) was made from beet sugar. It wasn't quite as sweet as a cane sugar version. Still it is better than the high fructose corn syrup which is nasty and hella bad for us.I'm trying to source from a local bottler because at this price, it would be worth it to buy a lot. It is a luxury item @ almost $40 for 12, but a fella's gotta splurge occasionally. If I can't find a better cane sugar version, I'll probably buy this again but not regularly...at least until the price comes down. :)
