No, this item can't. The door opening angle can be limited only by the hold open door closer(ASIN:B087WSWC1V). When the door open range is over 90°, the door closer can allow the door remain open at any angle where your strength stop.

Q: After installation, is it possible to disable the closer without removing it?

I have fitted 2 of these now & think they are suitable for just about any door but it does depend on if the door is fitted by a professional (if its a hollow door just has a thin frame around the outer edges it would probably benefit from a piece of wood fitted for a secure fixing) They are easily fitted & work very well with lots of adjustment to suit any door heavy or very light but screws ideally need good fixings for it to last.
