Was concerned about leaks from the reviews, but I used a good quality pipe thread sealer and no leaks

We bought this to replace a much more expensive strainer on a small jet boat and it's working great.

Easy to use and easy to clean. I do lubricate the seal and the threads with silicone lubricant. You do not need to over tighten them as there is a silicone gasket that makes the seal it is milky white so make sure it doesn't fall out or get lost when cleaning.

Fot the price, this is a great filter for my automatic garden drip watering system. The drippers plug easily from floating particles in the public water supply. This filter is fine enough to stop most of them.If you overtighten the 1" NPT fittings, the base of this unit will crack. To avoid cracking, I use a paste sealant, not teflon tape.Green algae may form inside the clear filter body if you do not have clorinated water (well water). It is easy to clean when you clean the filter.

I intend to use this filter catch particulates from my rain barrel and my fish pond when each water source is used to water my vegetable garden using a drip irrigation system to stop irrigation heads from becoming blocked.

Easy to install, works great

Had this inline filter for roughly 8 months. Works decent but have to clean often because of hard water. Problem is the filter gets caked with deposits and I have to clean regularly. I have well water. I would like to just replace filter and gasket. No response from seller. So I had to buy the entire kit again just to throw away the top piece and use filter and gasket. What a waste. Good luck trying to get a hold of the seller.

I purchased 2 of these items and both have the same problem leaking around the rubber seal. Very difficult to return to this seller.

I put this strainer in the intake line for my boat cooling system and it fit perfectly. Quality seems good

Used this to filter water before it got to my micro watering system.

The outlet FNPT advertise were not 3/4 inch but 1/2 inch.Happy with the product overall
