Received it today and started using it on my project. I noticed that the opposite side of the container was hard on top. I initially did not pay too much attention to it until I started using it and noticed that it was already hardened by about half an inch thick. If I had realized how much of the product was unusable, I would of just closed it up and returned it. Needless to say, my project soon became a mess. Trying to separate the dried out portion from the somewhat fresh product was very messy. The product was already drying out, probably sitting on the distributor's shelf. The product is expensive as it is and more so when a portion of it is wasted. I guess I should of made the trip to Home Depot or Menards.

Bought this to repair a plastic water tank that sprang a leak. This product covered up the hole nicely and stopped all leakage.

A 3 lb. container was barely sufficient to cover a 2 foot square patch on my roof. However, I am convinced that it will do the job over the coming winter. It beats a new roof at this point. $90 versus $12,000 for a new roof...hmmm...(I wonder how many containers it would take to do the whole roof). My HOA would unravel.I'll be looking around for cheaper alternatives that would do just as well.

Like many other users, my tub of stuff arrives with half of it oxidized and unable to be used. It was basically a hunk of hard rubber surrounded by usable flex paste. The paste that did work is excellent! Just frustrated at how little amount you receive. TIP: Check before you spread. Dig your spatula deep into the product to see if it has oxidized. Mine was directly below the aluminum foil but didn't see it right away, so I used it before noticing I should have returned it.

The product itself is good, however the problem is that there's just not a lot of usable product in the container. First, there is a significant gap between the top of the container and where the product actually starts. Then there is a a plastic seal across that, which pulls up some of the paste when removed. When I was scooping the Flex Seal out of the container I discovered that some of the paste had already hardened around the inside. By the way, I returned the container of Flex Seal that I bought on Amazon, when I found out that I could purchase the exact same containers at Lowes for $29.95 each rather than $53.00. Even at that, it took 4 containers to fully seal about 10 feet of chimney flashing. $12 a foot. Again, it's a very good product, just over priced for this size container. Phil Swift must be making a mint!

This is a great product! Tons of applications! I used this stuff on a chimney flashing and a skylight and it held up very nicely. You even use the spray on version of this stuff as a DIY bed liner for your truck! Amazing.
