Very fast and extremely well built

I used the hario hand grinder with ceramic burrs for a long time, it made me dread grinding my coffee everyday in the morning. Compared to that the steel burrs on this Timemore are 10x faster and a breeze to use. It’s worth the premium. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants fresh coffee. If you’re looking to buy a hand grinder in the 2-3k range, go for this instead.

I'm in awe of this grinder.

I'll be writing a relatively long review or first impression because, boy, am I impressed. For pretext, I used a knockoff Hario skeleton grinder, which I thought was already better than regular electric mixers or grinders. I just had this delivered and decided to brew a v60 with it and was impressed with its build quality (yes, it has a few plastic bits in it, but understand where I'm coming from). Then I ground the coffee, and it took roughly half a minute to grind, which left me perplexed as my previous grinder usually took about 2 to 3 minutes to grind something similar. The experience of grinding was also worlds apart: it felt consistent and smooth until it ran out of beans. One slight annoyance is that there was a lot of static and I had a lot more chaff stuck to various surfaces of the grinder, but I will incorporate RDT (spray a little water on your beans before grinding) from now on, so this is not an issue. The brew time for my v60 dropped from over 5 minutes to right at 3 minutes, and the coffee itself was a lot more clear, and I could taste a lot more of the fruity notes in general. Mind you, this is the first time I've used this grinder, so I most certainly have not dialled in the right settings for me.To put it bluntly, I suggest you skip buying grinders you can get for 1–2k and save up for this or something else (we might get an actual competitor for this grinder in the future, who knows) because it's worth it.

A good purchase for coffee lovers

After my first purchase with Agaoro whose glass jar broke, I thought to try this one, and its a gem of a grindr. Classic and works well.

Solid.

1. This is an exceptional manual coffee grinder. When you hold it in your hand, you can feel the quality and craftsmanship - it's solid.2. The screwing in mechanism is ASMR.3. The grind setting is in terms of clicks, allowing you to fine-tune your coffee to the perfect level of coarseness. The grind consistency is remarkable, resulting in a perfectly uniform grind every time.4. Disassembly is easy so maintenance is a breeze.

fast

dont waste money on a cheap ceramic burr grinder, it doesnt do a good job. This is great and you will be done in 20 seconds to 1 minute depending on the grind you need. when you are done, just tap it hard 2 times to shake off all the grinds stuck to the burrs when you are done.Honestly, its for those who really want to get indulgent and only brew 1-2 cups a day or at a time. Anything above that, you might as well get an electric.I bought this because I use a moka pot, a v60, a french press and sometimes I do cold brew which all require different grind sizes and this gives me the ease. But in all honestly, you will be fine with pre-ground coffee too as long as you finish your coffee within 2 weeks and reorder.what I dont like : the loading of the coffee beans into the grinder is difficult. beans can go all over the place. This should have come with a dosing funnel which would have been extremely helpful.

It is a great product for coffee grinding

I did a lot of research before buying a coffee grinder for my kitchen and Timemore Chestnut C2 was among the best value for money products. I had ordered earlier a Hario (Made in Japan) but then returned it since it was missing a part (fault of the seller not Hario) but Hario itself is a great brand. However, Hario comes with a ceramic burr. And believe me, if you want a manual coffee grinder and would like to enjoy coffee more and do manual labour less, then buy one with a steel or metal burr. It is much faster and easier. As a personal opinion, I am very skeptical for Made in China products and avoid it when i can. But i give credit where it is due i.e. when the product is truly good. I only wish that its top lid was not fixed to the rotating handle and there is very small gap between lid and the top container which could have been avoided. But apart from that small issue, so far the Timemore C2 has served quite well. There are many coffee aficionados in India and I personally hope an Indian brand offers a competing completely in-house built coffee grinder too some day.Until then, solely for the cost and quality I recommend the Timemore C2. You can go online and check its reviews as well before buying and make your own judgement.

10/10 would recommend

There’s a reason this grinder showed up in Hoffman’s review and put up a good fight. If the god of coffee himself calls this product ‘good’ who are we to question him.I’ve been using this for over two weeks now, daily. I use it to grind for a pour over and French press. They say 18-24 but depending on your beans you can go down till 16 for a pour over.Quality sturdy product. Very very premium. Look it up on YouTube if you have any doubts on how to operate/clean it. And then, just go for it.

Excellent grinder

Much better than agaro and all cheap brands. Stainless steel burr over ceramic ones!
