Keratin Perfect KP Brightener Shampoo - 32oz

Been using this shampoo for 15 yrs. Love it!

I liked that only a small amount is needed to lather.

While not marketed as a "temporary color," this shampoo is pretty much that. I purchased it just as a typical purple shampoo to maintain my blonde, so I was shocked to see just how pigmented it was. My usual shampoo is the purple Redken (which I consider to be highly pigmented.. it stains my hands purple after just enough time to massage through my hair), yet I have to leave the Redken shampoo on my hair the entire 20-30 minute shower for there to be actual purple color in it when I leave the shower. In comparison, used this shampoo for the first time and after 15 minutes my blonde was very noticeably purple. It took at least a week's worth of washes with regular shampoo to not have a purple cast to it, and even after that it was still very very cool toned. I tried to go back later and use this when I was months out from my last appointment, just to see if I could spruce things up on my own until I could get back in, and with washing and rinsing immediately I still saw a slight purple tone when I dried my hair. This is probably a pretty cool feature for some people, but my hairstylists tones my hair so it is just the perfect mix of coolness without being ashy or grey. This shampoo pretty much negated that and went straight to greyish blonde and never fully went back to how I originally had it. I'm not a hairstylist and I'm sure there are a lot of factors at play, but just FYI in case you aren't looking for THAT much purple pigment. If you are in fact looking for that much toning/color depositing, this is the shampoo for you! Just make sure to really coat your hair all the way down to the ends so you don't end up with purple scalp/roots and warmer toned ends. Also pay mind to it running down your neck or temples, as it stains skin just as quickly as it does hair.It is also pretty drying, which I would likely attribute to being so pigmented. All my purples seem to dry more than their non-purple counterparts.

Love this shampoo and conditioner. However my shampoo arrived with seal broken and leaked. Also looked like someone put a piece of tape on lid after leaking. ☹️Not sure if I should attempt to use what is left in bottle.

Finally a purple shampoo that is safe for keratin treated hair....or hair not keratin treated. I get a keratin treatment once a year. My hair pulls that brassiness from our chlorine treated water and the intense Florida sunshine! This shampoo lathers awesome, and even suds up enough that your fingers moved smoothly through your hair as you rinse. It did not leave my hair dry like most blue or purple shampoos do. I personally love the scent, its not over powering and does not linger afterwards. The shampoo is creamy but not too thick. It also does not stain your shower or hands like some purple shampoos will do. I like to use a color toning shampoo once a week to help keep my brunette color treated hair from getting too "orange". I find color correcting products work over time, its not a magic treatment, use it every third shampoo or once a week to find it helps significantly. This product is safe for color treated and keratin treated hair.

Have to use too much shampoo to get the right amount of suds.

Great results for toning out brassiness.
