Great idea. Just need to use plastic pots. Clay is a no go as the moisture seeps through. This works pretty decent on all the other types of pots.

Excellent product. Prevent overwatering, plant is healthy, no yellowing or drying on leaf tips. Plant roots get water it needs for healthy growth.

I have always had a really hard time knowing if I overwatering or underwatering my plants. They’re all different and it’s been difficult for me to gage. I keep killing my plants unintentionally and it’s been frustrating. I repotted my plants with this cotton rope hanging down into a bowl of water and I can see now, which plants get thirstier than others. I can see when to add more water to the bowl and the plants don’t get overwatered because they suck it up through the rope as they need it. I’m so glad I found out about this stuff!!!

Watering cord is easy to use. However should be placed deep in the plant pot to insure all the roots are watered. I had 6 plants and used a large pot of water to draw from and it was almost empty after 8 days in a warm house. This is a great solution for houseplants and a really great price.

I used the threads with a big tank of water for my 1 month trip. I had severals plants in my house which needed water. Remember to bury the thread deep in the soil. All plants survived except one which was over watered maybe. Must have if you want to leave your house for long vacation and come back to find your plants alive. Some of my plants even thrived much better than my watering.

I've repotted several plants using this product. It's easy to use and works well.

I have used this cord connected to my indoor plants to jars of water my new adventure got me in trouble 😞 FREE ADVICE you would need to keep an eye on your plants. So… I’ll tell you what happens to us while I was planning my traveling I decided to place 2 methods of self watering my indoor plants BUT one of those methods were using these ropes in my plants But it keeps watering itself the plant -as usual- the plants were getting rid of the extra watering getting my little green house floor in the basement a mess water all over the carpet. You know with cold weather requiring-indoor plant care, right - so someone got to keep an eye on the plants or it won’t work according to my personal experience. My Hubby got upset with this cause the carpet in our basement got so wet -no matter plastic cover I’ve placed over the carpet- worrying about mold. Praying against that issue.

Seems fine. I use many self watering pots, add extra ropes to some. Gave a length of it to neighbor for her mosquito lamp. Looks cotton not nylon. Extra labels are always welcome , these are really small. UPDATE DO NOT USE IN A LAMP AS A WICK. Doesn’t work.

This item works very well. I bought the rope so my plants' soil will be kept moist while I am away on vacation. Depending on the size of the water vessel, any plant could be fed water for quite awhile; I've tested for a couple weeks.

Watering my plants

These do transfer the water well from water jug to plant, but way too fast, even when I use longer lengths. Still had a good plant shrivel up and die while away 3 weeks.

Not the right product if going on vacation for more than few days.Soaks up water very fast, leading to over watering in plants and the water storing container will empty up quickly.
