Gets the job done, and then some.
What can I say, it welds. It’s an $80 DC machine. I went in with zero expectations and just wow. Stick mode works like a charm, some sticking but it holds an arc. Take the amperage rating with a grain of salt, you gotta crank it to get the same effect as you would on other machines, and you also need to keep a pretty tight arc in order for it to be stable. But hey, it’s a welding machine for under $100 that runs off 110v, you literally can’t complain. Welds 3/32 rods like they’re nothing. It says it’s capable of 1/8, but don’t, you won’t have a good time. Make sure your electrodes are decent, too. Runs Hobart rods with ease but my Harbor Freight Vulcan rods it seems to struggle with a bit. Again, you can’t complain. Was able to root, fill, and cap 6” SCH40 like any other day in the job.USE A DEDICATED 20A CIRCUT WHEN STICK WELDING. This WILL trip any normal breaker repeatedly, but so will any other machine. Now TIG, this is where this little box really shines. If you opt for the bundle, the torch and mini kit it comes with is of surprisingly high quality, in stark contrast to the cheap stick leads. All you need is an argon bottle and some tungsten and you can let her rip. Current draw is a little lower in this mode (~15A), so you’ll have a much easier time on lower capacity circuits. But man is that one stable arc. No option for a foot pedal, but real welders don’t need those anyway lol. I’ve only tried up to 11GA with TIG, and it burned through, so you can likely weld thicker material with ease.Again, you’re only spending $80-100 on this. It is far from perfect, definitely not for professionals, but you will not find a better machine at this price point.

Don't let it's small size fool you...
When I unpacked this item I was sure I would return it because it is the size of a loaf of bread!I made up a custom extention cord using 8 gauge THNN stranded copper wire and a 220 vlot 3 prong dryer power connector. I soldered and shrink booted all connections and now have 25 feet of extension cord to move the welder around. I use my 220 volt dryer outlet for power.I recently installed coilovers on my classic 850i BMW and this application required me to cut the strut tube off my spindles and weld the coilovers onto the spindles. Several shops quoted me high estimates so I decided to do the install myself. My coilovers have serious thick 2" steel tubing and this little welder did a fantastic job! I used 7018 rod 3/16" in size and the welder was set at 100 amps. At 100 amps it was almost too much power for this job but I carefully laid down clean strong welds for this job.I expect to see the name "Yeswelder" up there with Lincoln, Miller & Hobart in a couple years, meaning Yeswelder puts out quality products.

Beginner stick welder
Perfect beginner stick welder. You can run it on a 110 outlet, but you need to turn the arc force down from 10 to 5. I ran it on 10 and it blew a 15 amp breaker in 5 minutes, with it on 5 I welded for 2 hours running 75 amps for 7014 rod no issues. This is a perfect beginner stick welder, if you’re going to run over 75 amps I’d use the 220 outlet for anything over that with a 30 amp breaker. Also stick welding runs better for thick metal, I wouldn’t bother with anything thinner than 16 gauge metal. I tried running it today at 80-90 amps with 3/32 7014 rod and it blew the circuit breaker within 10 minutes, granted that’s on a 15 amp breaker. This thing really needs 20-30 amp breakers to hit its full power and duty cycle.

Has the power you need to weld up to1/4 " steel
Though my schedule is busy right when it arrived, I hooked all the cables up, plugged it in, didn't even look at the instructions, set it to about 100 amps, the rod stuck a little bit, but didn't know if it was the 6013 rod ( I have rods that over 45 yrs old yet) so I turned it up to 120 amps and laid a beautiful bead. So now I don't have to run 220 out to the garage for my Lincoln 225 stick welder, and the YES welder is portable to take anywhere. I recommend this little welder, plenty of power, great customer service

Outperformed expectations and tremendous customer support
I was impressed with the performance of this machine at 110v. Even with a heavy duty extension cord and hours of use, this machine only tripped the breaker once. It performs well. The only issue I had was that the machine began having difficulty working properly at 110v setting. I would have to turn the machine off then back on a couple of times to get it to work, no problem when trying on 220v. Since I mainly use on 110v because of the convenience in being able to use at various locations, this was an issue. However, customer support is exceptional (Raymond). Responses were very rapid. After attempting to work through the issue, but still periodically having problems, a full refund was granted. I am giving this rating 5 stars considering the performance of the machine despite the issue, combined with customer service. For some reason, I cannot select 5 stars, it will only allow me to select 4.

Can be Used on Thin Material
Welds well on 110vac for most hobby projects. On 3/8 inch material, nice arc start, but the arc wavered. Plugged into 220vac and what a difference a nice strong sizzling arc. Tried adjusting the hot start and arc force, but found the preset 10 settings best. 5/64 6013 rod easily starts at 20 amps (hot start really works). The old arc welder is a 70's buzz box, this is light years better.

Great product! Just what we needed
My 18 yr old son is in the welding program through a tech center and was looking for a welding items to use at home for extra practice. I must say for the price this product has done its job! He is extremely happy and has had no issues at all with this machine. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to further their skills or just to have at home.

Great machine for the low price. Good for hobbyists and practice
So far I have only done stick with it not TIG. But this thing packs a punch. I kept blowing breakers so I had to upgrade my breaker to 220v. After I did that it was amazing. For those who want to do TIG this machine doesn’t come with a regulator.
