Ipevo Microscope Adapter Set for P2V USB Document Camera (CDVU-03IP-A3)

This scope adapter works just fine.I am pretty old school. Back in the day, all I had was my microscope and a sad digital camera which I did use to take photos of what was in my microscope. There was a lot of adjusting on my part. And now with great difficulty, I can take photos with my iphone 6c. OK so ipevo has this simple gadget at a reasonable price that allows me to mechanically connect my ipevo to my microscope. IT is awesome. Yes, you have to hand adjust the ipevo camera when it is connected, but it holds the camera still and takes a good image. The software that comes with the ipevo allows you to adjust the light.Oh and if the scope light is really too bright, cut up a paper cup and put over the light source. It is that simple. My scope is an American Optical Sixty from WWII and weighs a ton.

These work well, but take practice and patience to align properly to get image to display clearly. Work well once they are aligned.

Junk junk junk. Does NOT work with my B&L laboratory stereotaxic microscope. Total crap. The camera was so defocussed that the dark print of my sample wasn't even visible. Peering through the other ocular showed a perfectly focussed image with great contrast.I purchased this kit and the camera in the hopes that I would be able to use the camera without the microscope for normal pc board inspections and assembly and with the microscope when I needed greater magnification. Total disappointment.I looked at the Ipevo products on Amazon and saw a typical lineup of cheap chinese schlock. They sell to school teachers on tight budgets. For a totally minimalist camera showing kiddies pages from a picture book on a video monitor it's OK. And the software is simple enough that anyone can use it.That is its only legitimate claim to popularity and positive ratings.

So far, have not got this camera to work with my microscope. I have have cameras that work fine. The instructions have not helped.

I can get it to work with difficulty. I can't get the entire view to show on the computer because the glare blacks out sections. To solve the glare the bottom half is chopped off a bit. I can see the middle and top fine this way. My AmScope's light is also too bright. Even dialed down it is too light. I can fix this if I use the Ipevo software but not when I share my scope on blackboard. To fix this I placed a piece of paper over my light.

Ces adaptateurs ne s'adaptent pas sur mon microscope, malgré les mesures prises. L’ensemble st donc inexploitable. Je suis très déçue.
