Every RV company can't be wrong.
This works great for its intended purpose. It has never failed me. I read some of the reviews and figured I would comment on them to maybe explain their issues with using it.I already commented on the "not an adhesive" issue. No, it won't work for that. Since it never dries, that wouldn't work.It never dries. Nope, it's not supposed to. It will be the consistency of chewing gum after a couple days. If it dried, it wouldn't be able to flex properly with the RV since the RV flexes while driving/towing it.Mine has lasted open for 10 months now. It is still like new. It comes out of the tube just like the first day I opened it. You have to seal the tip after you cut it in order to keep it "fresh". As with anything in a tube like this, cut the tip the absolute minimum you need for the contents to come out. I shave the tip until the hole appears in the end. When you are done, push a good, round nail that is ever so slightly larger than the hole into it. That's it. You are good to go. I have stuff in tubes that has lasted years like this. (If the original nail is at all loose when you put it back in after a subsequent use, use a bigger nail.)

Easy to work with
Installed a new fan and noticed how bad all the original 2003 Airstream caulk was on the roof. So we went to work getting it pealed up (heat gun and razor scraper). Dicor was easy to work with and went on nicely. I really like the way it self leveled around the antennas (w/ gray) and fan (w/ white). Hardest part was getting up all the old cracked caulk and preparing the surface for new. I'm looking forward to see how it holds up in the coming years. Extremely glad we completed this job before any leaks started. Dicor seems to be great stuff / also used Sika-flex 221 for the rain gutter thingy Good luck on your project !

Excellent Product. Very Easy to use. Better than OEM.
This stuff is the best I've ever found for sealing seams and fixtures on the roof of a camper. I had a bathroom vent on my roof that had weathered and become brittle. I used this to re-seal the replacement. It was so easy and worked so well that I decided to reseal other components on the roof while I was up there. This looked better and leveled out much smoother than what the original manufacturer had used.It has been in place for a few months now. It sealed everything perfectly and still looks like a professional did it...which I certainly am not.

Works great
So much better than walmart option. Works the way it should and price was right. Will never use a different brand. Old lap seal was white this is gray. Who cares?! Its on the top of the trailer no one sees

Great lap sealant for RV roofs
I've used Dicor many times to re-seal the original factory seals on our RV. The one thing I really don't like is that the product does not come in a resealable squeeze tube for small applications. Then, despite any reseal methods I've tried, it always dries up and I have yo through the tube out. Great for sales, not great for the consumer. If you have a foolproof way to seal the tube once opened, it'll be great for you. I just haven't found that foolproof method.

Easy to work with
This product is easy to work with when doing maintenance or repair on RV roof. It is self leveling, hence you should only use it on horizontal surface.

Great product
I previously used the white color if this product to reseal around my RV roof vents and other lap joints. It works very well and my only recommendation is to apply on a relatively warm day as this aids the self leveling. I bought the gray online and it was much less expensive than purchasing at the RV place. Additional plus is that it actually matches my roof.

Quantity needed: one or two tubes to seal standard roof vent
You will likely only need one tube of sealant to complete a standard roof vent replacement (~14” x14” square depending on where you measure from). I put down a thicker than normal bead (maybe 1/2” diameter) and I ended up being short by about a 12” section on one side of the roof vent. If you ration your tube a bit better than I did, you should be able to use all it to cover all the seams without having any extra.

Grey?
People who use Dicor know the good quality of this product. The only reason i don't give 5 stars is because the color, it say grey. I was expecting at lease,.. a medium grey but this prooduct it's more of a very light grey, you will have a greater contrast over medium grey than over white.
