Super effective specialized tool
We have numerous roof valleys, some at 90 degree corners, where leaves and especially, pine needles clump together and divert water runoff over the sealed top gutters. This is in the Pacific Northwest, so lots of rain and pine needles. I avoid ladders, so I use a 10’-30’ telescopic handle with a brush to clear the valleys and this gutter cleaner to breakout debris jammed between the valleys and gutters. It REALLY works well, and eliminates ladders.

Well designed and durable.
Along with the telescoping extension handle, this tool is highly effective and will quadruple your effective reach from the ladder. I have used this now three times and found it well designed and robust. I read a previous review saying that the diamond tip broke off. After using this several times, I can say that to break off this tip, one has to yank it hard enough to run risk of pulling yourself off the ladder! It is not a fragile tip, but thick plastic that should handle reasonable and repeated use.As I wrote on the review for the extension handle, one of the best uses for this rake is that it allows you to remain far away from any power line connection to your home that is located nearby a section of your gutters. If you have this situation, there is no safe way to position your ladder within arm's reach of a section of gutter close to a power line. It is a good way to get killed through electrocution. With the extension handle, you can extend the reach of this device to a distance four times your arm's length, and carefully run the rake through the debris in the gutter, inside the gutter itself and toward that section of power line, and then rotate the diamond head so that is goes from being parallel to the debris (and able to penetrate through the mass) to being perpendicular, and then be able to draw the debris safely to your position, where you can then scoop out the debris. So, not only does this rake with the extension rod quadruple your effective reach, it allows you a safe way to clean you any gutter section near a power line running to your home. This is a very good device and well worth the price.

Will this make gutter cleaning fun? No. Will it make it easier? Yes!
I have second story gutters and was looking for something simple and non-gimmicky to make life a little easier. I had no illusions of finding some magical cleaning tool that would make cleaning gutters fun. I am on a wooded, uneven lot, so my gutters were slammed full of leaves and debris, and there are not many even spots for an extension ladder. So, my goal was to find something I could use that would minimize moving the ladder around. I bought this rake and used it in combination with the Mr. LongArm 3212 Pro-Pole Extension Pole 6-to-12 Foot". Given the fact that my gutters were VERY full, I would say it did very well and accomplished the mission of cleaning long sections of gutter with minimal ladder moves. My only minor complaint is that the tip of the rake popped off a couple times. It is apparently designed to come off, so it wasn't broken and I was able to put the tip back on. This only happened when I was arguably trying to rake too much back to me, so was not a consistent problem and probably won't be a problem at all doing regular maintenance cleaning. I would definitely recommend this item as an effective, low-tech way to clean gutters.

This tool a must if you clean your own gutter!
After having this tool about a year and a half, I can say this is the best gutter cleaning tool I’ve ever had. It is well designed and durable. The shape and size is perfect for maneuvering the tool in tight places and pulling debris toward you. The shape also allows to clean one bottom corner of the gutter then rotate and clean the other side. It works effectively up to 8’ with a screw in extension handle which means fewer trips up the ladder.

Unfortunately not durable.
On my first pass using an extension pole the product cracked right at the attachment point. I sent an email and photo to the seller / manufacturer and asked them to remedy the situation. I did not receive a response, hence this review recommending that consumers avoid this product.

doesn't attach well to pole
The attachment's spade head is a bit small; it will fit into any gutter probably, but it doesn't have much lift capacity. The other more serious problem is that the screw threads attach loosely to the doca pole (in my case). In fact, it was about to come off when I noticed the problem and pulled it in carefully. I then wrapped it to the pole with duct tape.

Designed with thought and made from lasting materials.
Works well for gutter cleaning also works very well for slicing moss off bottom edges of concrete roof tiles.

really great!
I'm surprised how much I love this simple thing. Screw a handle onto it, and it makes gutter cleaning a bunch easier. I could reach several feet on either side of me, so it cuts down moving the ladder a bunch. And the hook on the front of it is genius. So you can hang it on the gutter while you go up & down the ladder. It's great! Just buy one....
