Attractive for kids

These are very durable. I have used before purchasing, and should last for years. Over time the glass will get scratched up (normal wear and tear) but you should still be able to see well out of them. The one thing that has not happened yet with my set but I know will soon happen is the thin piece the stand) will break off at some point) however it will not take away from the use of the product since most people just lay them down on a surface after use anyway, and not either bother with the stand or are not even aware that there is a stand.

I brought a supply so each of 5 grandchildren, ages 18 months to 5 years, could help me investigate around the house and yard. They really like them. There is a slim plastic piece that works like an easel - for hands-free investigating, I suppose. That piece is not sturdy and was not working well on one of the magnifying glasses from the time we opened the package. You don't really "need " it, but you know children - no one wanted that one. I recommend these magnifying glasses for your little peeps for all sorts of exploration.

Our 2 year old son just loves his Learning Resources Jumbo Magnifiers - Set of 6! 1 wouldn't be enough and 6 is just perfect for when the cousins come over. We also have one in the diaper bag and my purse for when we are out and about and need to magnify something. You would be surprised how often this can come in handy! They are GREAT quality and the feature I didn't know it had, but is awesome, is a stand for when you want to put something under the magnifying glass and he's able to get hands on with it because both hands are free thanks to the built in stand! This is a GREAT product and it helps makes adventures so much more fun! A product I also suggest to buy with these are the Learning Resources Easy Grip Tweezers (LER1963).

These large, but no too heavy, magnifying glasses are exactly what we were looking for! They offer real magnification, unlike the cheap dollar store products that just look fun.In our homeschool classroom, we've used these to analyze flowers, leaves and insects. We also may have used them to concentrate the sunlight into a beam capable of burning things...The stand is helpful for setting up an observation table, while the chunky handle is comfortable for little hands to hold while running around outside looking for ants.The lenses have gotten slightly scratched after several outside uses, but they are still quite clear and I believe they'll last us a while.

I was a BIG hit when I visited my grand-nephew and nieces (all at or under 7 years old) their individual magnifying glass. The ruggedness as well as the large size and good magnification really impressed me -- and delighted them.The array of colors in the set meant NO squabbling or fighting as they inspected everything and everyone in their house with their very own tool.BTW, the set was large enough for me to keep some for others -- and for myself!

These are GREAT! My soon has had one for ages, the kindy uses them too. They are great presents for kids from 2-6yrs and bright colours too. The only issue I have had is the stand that folds out can be a bit too flimsy and likely to bend to far and break with out enough care.Another point is the shipping weight for the Amazon purchase is incorrect, it most certainly doesn't weigh 9lb. I contacted amazon and they refunded the additional shipping fee. The box itself weighs more like 2lb. So if you are paying the shipping (I am in Australia so have to pay by weight) then I suggest checking 1st with Amazon.
