Great Replacement for OEM
These earpads are a perfect replacement for general usage in my ATH-m40x headphones. Had my headphones for about 5 years and the PU deteriorated on the pads. These pads are definitely softer and more comfortable than the standard ones. Even with a couple hours of gameplay, no headache and no sweat. For mine, the sound quality is still as good as when I first got them. Within general usage (games, music, basic instruments), I can't really tell a difference, but if you are using them for studio quality work, these may not hold up (I'm not an expert).I DID keep the foam inserts that came with the OEM earpads and put them in the new pads as another review suggested. They fit perfectly. Who knows if that is the difference between the tinny sounds others have reported. These earpads are generic so they are also slightly larger than the OEM earpads in diameter. I've noticed that some times I get a gap between the pad and my skin if they aren't centered on my ear and the sound changes so I'd recommend being cognizant of that when using them. Definitely not a con. These are great replacements, especially at the price point.

Noticeable bass loss on M50x, Extremely comforatble
These were exceptionally comfortable and they are definitely a step up from the factory cups with their larger ear opening, increased thickness and memory foam. The installation was easy and fit was also better as they are oversized. The factory pads always bottomed out on the angled and raised speaker in the headphone shell.SOUND: The highs and mids were pretty spot on considering how deep (25-27mm) these cups are. However, you will notice a definite drop off in bass! The ATH-M50x are advertised as professional monitor studio quality headphones, delivering accurate audio and deep bass response. Not that the M50x had that much deep bass to begin with but, a sacrifice nonetheless that I'm not willing to give up. Also, the full-cloth covering will sacrifice outside sound isolation. This might not be a big deal for some but, you will hear any extraneous sounds (voices, etc) around you in the room.If your seeking the factory studio quality monitor sound, the loss of bass and sound isolation for an over-the-ear cup will have you searching further for genuine leather ear pads and better memory foam.

SO muc more comphortable than what came with my m20x
They are super comfortable. They create a wider sound stage compared to the factory ones, probably due to the fact that they are a bit thicker so the drivers are physically further from my ears. They also dampen the sound just a tad. None of these downsides really bother me that much but they are worth considering. They dissipate heat pretty well at the expense of some sound isolation. The material is very soft but it looks a little different than the pictures, with the pattern being more noticeable in person. Overall I'm pretty satisfied.

Nice Flannel Ear Pads, but not quite as good quality as Brainwavz
I bought these because I needed new ear pads and I wanted to try something different from velour or pleather. The flannel ear pads from this brand are the one of the only alternatives that I could find, so I decided to try them.Overall I am quite pleased with them, they are the same size and thickness as the oval pads from Brainwavz. I really like the material, it is more breathable then pleather, but not fuzzy like velour. These seal better then cloth or velour, the flannel material has sort of a smooth waxed feel and the insides of the ear cups are covered with a perforated pleather. I would rate these as hotter then rough cloth ear pads, a bit cooler or about the same as velour, and cooler then pleather. These seal a bit better then cloth or velour so they add a bit more bass to my headphones, but not as much as pleather. These flannel ear pads are a great alternative to Brainwavz pads if you want a different material. Still I would recommend getting Brainwavz for velour or pleather. Although these are very good quality, the memory foam padding is just not as good.

Great comfort at the cost of bass and noise isolation
I put these on my ATH M40X and am very conflicted about it. The ear pads are more comfortable than the original pleather ones that came with the headphones. My ears don't get as hot and I don't sweat with these on, even with the incoming summer weather. However! The comfort is greatly set back by how much bass and noise isolation I lost. For comparison, I'd say the bass used to be 8/10 and now it is 3/10. With the previous noise isolation, I was not able to hear others talking in the same room. Now, I am able to hear a conversation from the room next door as well as cars driving by outside and people conversing on the sidewalk outside my house.I also had to increase my windows volume from 12 to 26 for watching videos and taking calls. When in-game, character footsteps are greatly muted and you in-game gunfire doesn't sound as clear.

Fits Fostex T50RP
I grabbed these for my new Fostex T50RPs because the stock pads are supposedly horrible. Turns out I actually like the stock pads, but these were already ordered and arrived a few hours after the cans, so I threw them on to see how they were. Very comfy, they fit fully over my ears while avoiding my piercings (industrial and gauges, which is why I almost always have to get larger pads). I don't notice a big change in sound signature with the swap, maybe a little less bass, but I have to really listen for that. It did widen the sound stage ever so slightly, which is a plus. I'll keep these on for sure.I was a little worried they wouldn't fit, I had to stretch them a bit more than I was comfortable. They aren't too-too small, but just on the border of being too small. I think it's mostly because these have a thicker edge on them compared to the Brainwavz I'm used to, probably to help keep them from ripping when fitting. I almost didn't feel like the material would hold up to being stretched that much, but it did just fine.Definitely recommend! And they look great on the T50RPs.
