As a tea lover, who often has people over, it is important to me to have a quality kettle in which to boil my water. I have a metal one, which I keep on the stove, but it is difficult to clean and when I am cooking, food spatters on it. When I saw this glass kettle by Mealthy, I decided to go for it. There are several things I like about my new glass kettle:1) It boils the water quickly and I don't have to worry about it boiling over or heating the glass when the container is empty. I can walk away and do something else and the automatic shutoff will kick in when the water has reached the right temperature, or there are no liquids in the container.2) It is easy to clean. I can easily rinse and wipe the kettle, after it cools (which does not take long), and put it away. I have hard water issues where I live, but a little vinegar water boiled in the pot clears it right up.3) It has nice aesthetics. The pot itself looks neat and sleek, and the blue LED light, which indicates when the pot is heating up, looks splendid, especially when the water reaches a rolling boil shortly before the automatic shutoff kicks in.4) The lid has an attached filter which drops over the spout to filter the water as your pour. I made loose-leaf tea and it kept most of the leaves out of my cup. I do not recommend using it to make coffee directly in the pot (I tried). The filter will allow many of the grounds to get through.5) The company shipped the product to me quickly. I did not have to wait long to start using my fantastic, new glass kettle.This is a great product that, not only does what it claims, but brings a little peace of mind as well. It would make a fantastic addition to your kitchen or a great gift for the chef or tea-lover in your family.P.S. I gave this product a five-star rating because I could not think of any reason to give it a lower rating. I love it.

Heats water faster than on the stove & looks pretty with the blue light shining into the water. Interior of the kettle is all glass - doesn't alter the taste.After about 3 weeks, a small crack developed near the base of the handle - I would guess there was a weak spot in the glass. As water was leaking from it - I couldn't use it anymore. When I emailed Support the automatic reply said their response might be delayed due to current issues (Covid19) - but within 24 hours, they sent an actual reply with a request for some additional info to verify my purchase. They are sending a replacement & it's due to arrive within 4 days of my first contact with them about my issue. Excellent Customer Service! I'm hopeful the replacement won't have the same issue - I will update the review if it breaks.

My wife and I instantly fell in love when we each ordered a cup of hot water with our desserts during our first date on Saturday, October 17, 1998, almost twenty-one years ago. Hot water sealed the deal for us and my wedding proposal was joyfully accepted on Christmas Eve just two months into our budding relationship. Almost twenty-one years later my wife and I are investors in Mealthy. When we discovered that Mealthy was offering an electric tea kettle, the choice to buy one for our home was a no-brainer. My family sips hot water daily, all year long. We're frequently boiling kettles of water on our gas stove. Unfortunately, for the rest of my family, I've hoarded Mealthy's electric glass kettle for my home desk, where I keep it filled, and conveniently press the lever to efficiently and safely provide hot water for myself anytime. My children want their own personal kettles now! Mealthy's fantastic electric glass kettle is well designed and will provide comfort for me, and maybe, my family, with each cup!! I might have to be less selfish and share; possibly brew some tea too? :)

This is a wonderful addition to your small kitchen appliances - you'll love it! Heats the water to boiling hot so your French press coffee, tea, etc is wonderful! Also instant soups, etc - I love this kettle! Came highly recommended by my fav 'This Old Gal' of Instant Pot recipe fame, and she was right on as usual! I love how it's easy to clean, glass, the LED light is not too bright to hurt my eyes (which I was concerned about)...easy on and off, no buttons just simple and efficient and HOT! I also love how you can stop it anytime if you don't want your water terribly hot as you want to say drink your tea right away. But French press lovers, you NEED this appliance!! I really like that this is glass, I've had an old electric tea pot for years. It was time for a change. This does an excellent job of heating of quickly. Here is why I gave it a 4 star review. A minor design flaw is the reason. The filter has a piece of plastic right in the middle. So, when you pour, it's not even, it splatters some. If the filter was one piece without the plastic it would be fine. So, when I pour I just pop the top. I use filtered water and I'm not really worried about calcium deposits plus being glass I can easily see when it needs to be cleaned. You won't go wrong buying this one, the water is fun to watch as it boils too. I would recommend it in spite of the plastic piece dividing the filter at the spout.

I'm very happy with this electric kettle. I work very early in the morning so I value not having to get up extra early to boil water for oatmeal or beverages. This makes very short work of the process. You simply add water to the kettle and place it upon the base that is plugged in. Then you switch it on and very quickly it begins to boil. It shuts itself of when it reaches full temperature and you can tell because the blue light shuts off. In the winter I like to bring a container of hot beverage with me to keep warm since I work outdoors and this works great for that. If you find that you use boiling water often enough that a quick and easy solution would simplify things then this is something you should consider.
