I bought this product in October of 2019 to use for when we will occasionally go out of town for a short weekend. I purchased 2 of them as I have 2 cats. Up until a month prior, we had dogs so we always had someone take care of the animals, but cats can certainly fend for themselves for a few days as long as they have food and water. I haven’t reviewed this until now, as we really don’t use them all that often. However, the last few times we used them we would come home and notice only one worked. I thought the batteries were dying, so we replaced the batteries and tried again, only to have the same result. They then sat unused for about a year, as Covid hit, travel stopped, etc etc. This past weekend we decided to go out of town for 48 hours. I pulled both machines out of the closet and went to replace the batteries, as I figured it wouldn’t hurt to have fresh batteries after sitting for a while. I only had enough batteries to fill one machine, so I filled the bowls high and set that machine up and left the cats. Again, these were BRAND NEW BATTERIES. Well, when I came home this morning I discovered that my cats were only fed once in that 48 hour period. The machine was off, the cover was closed (so no, they didn’t stop on the buttons and turn it off), and it had only rotated once. The other 4 buckets were still full. Thank goodness we didn’t go away for longer!!I can’t endorse a machine that doesn’t work and puts my pets at risk. Don’t risk it. Buy your pets something else!

I bought 2 for my cats. I only needed a 4 portion but the 6 was cheep enough to justify the purchase. I set the timer for every 4 hours. The timers are 1 minute off so by the 6th portion they are 6 minutes apart. I asked if there was a way to fix the timing but heard nothing back. I really like the feeders but I wish they were calibrated better.

Our cat doesn’t know when to stop eating. We didn’t know what to do? This has changed everything!!! I wish I had found this sooner! She used to wake us up a few times a night and now we get a full nights sleep! It is a bit loud, but we keep it in the kitchen so we barley here it at night. We were beginning to hate our poor, hungry cat, but this solved everything for us!!!!!!!!! Highly recommend!

This is so convenient! You just have to make sure the battery is not going dead so it keeps working.
