GoWISEUSA Ming's Mark GW22621 Electric Air Fryer, 3.7 QT, Black

My girlfriend and I love to cook, but often times our kitchen experiments end up being pretty unhealthy. So, in preparation for the impending New Year's Resolution of eating healthier, I purchased this air fryer right after Christmas of 2015. It's now mid-February of 2016, and I still use this incredible product at least 3 times a week. I'll break down my review into sections:Ease of Use:This air fryer is incredibly intuitive and well explained in the manual (which also doubles as a recipe book, more on that later). I've never struggled to use any settings, and the presets they offer are very accurate. So far I've used the presets for cooking fries, chicken, and fish, and all three came out perfect! The control panel requires very little effort to work it, and the display is easy to understand.Design:I love the look of this air fryer. It's a little larger than I was expecting, but I also neglected to look at the provided dimensions, so that's my fault. Don't let that make you think this thing is too large; it's definitely not. It also has some heft to it, but that's to be expected with a product like this. You can't have both a high-quality and low-weight heating element. Inside the fryer there are two baskets nested inside one another. The smaller one holds the food and has vents, the larger one catches the fat and oil that runs off the food (I was amazed at how much fat cooked out of chicken). The two baskets are very easy to separate using a release button on the handle. The baskets also have a non-stick coating which makes clean-up a breeze.Provided Recipes:The recipes that came with the air fryer are great. Some of them aren't necessarily the best tasting recipes, but what's more important is that they help you learn what all you can cook in the fryer, and how to best cook those foods. So, even though I won't be making the included salmon recipe, I used that recipe to guide my OWN salmon recipe, and it cooked perfectly!Complaint:I have only a singular complaint, and it is that I wish the power cord was detachable, retractable, storable, or any other version of those. In it's current design, the cord is hard to keep neat outside of wrapping it around the entire fryer. However, this is a small complaint and shouldn't really influence your decision on the fryer.All in all, this is a phenomenal product that has helped both my girlfriend and I eat much healthier. There's a novelty to this product that makes it exciting to get it out and use it, so anytime that I need to fry anything, I immediately want to use this air fryer rather than a pan of oil. I truly can't recommend it enough!

***UPDATE! I bought this in 2016. It is now the end of 2022 and IT IS STILL GOING STRONG! I upgraded this review to 5 stars!I do LOVE this thing. I looked and comparison shopped against the various makes, including the venerable Philips.I was new to these and just couldn't justify the price point for the Philips. I read other reviews of this one and took a chance.I'm thoroughly happy with it! The temperature controls are dead-on and the timer functions nicely. I held back from 5 stars because I believe the touch controls need a bit of quality control in manufacturing. I've noticed that the firmware programming makes it to where the controls function certain ways depending on removal and re-insertion of the cooking basket, etc. HOWEVER, on my unit it seems that the touch control "sweet spots" are a few millimeters off and I am forced to slide around to actually get it to respond. It's a quirk in my device and I've worked with it.As for cooking ability, this thing does an excellent job. Short cooking times, thorough cooking, and quality results. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again or recommend it to friends. (In fact, I have!)Do yourself a favor and web search air fryer recipes and try them out! Take a few days and get used to it! One of the first things I did in it was bacon wrapped shrimp and they were freaking amazing! I now keep a stash of them prepped-to-cook in the freezer because it is effortless to crank them out at a moment's notice!

So far I have made sweet potato fries, French fries, BBQ chicken and even made some donuts I had in the freezer crispy like fresh! I used to do all of this in the oven using a lot more energy. The compact size of the air fryer is great because it heats up fast and does a great job. It's like a mini- convection oven. Love it!UPDATE: After using this several times a week for less than 3 months, it quit working. I plugged it in and nothing happened...completely dead. I followed directions for customer support by sending a photo of it plugged in, my receipt dated January 8, 2019, a photo of the bottom sticker and have been waiting for a response. An auto response came in saying I would hear within 48 hours. NOPE! I resent everything and still no response. I'm very disappointed in their customer service.WAIT: ANOTHER UPDATE. Of course, the day I posted my unhappiness with customer response, I finally heard them them and they asked for a photo of the air fryer with the cord cut and I have to mail them the serial number sticker from the bottom of the unit. They tell me that when they receive the sticker, they will ship a new fryer to me. I will post again when I receive the fryer.YET AGAIN ANOTHER UPDATE. I received the replacement air fryer fairly quickly. The customer service rep was continuously updating me of the status and was really helpful. I used the air fryer tonight and it's wonderful! I'm very happy with their customer service.

Esta estupendo, es fácil de programar, se puede manejar muy bien, no ocupa tanto espacio, se limpia muy rápido y lo mejor, las comidas ya no tienen tanta grasa, excelente opción muy recomendado, el modelo que compré es para 1 persona, si lo ocupan para 1 pareja o para más gente necesitan un modelo de más capacidad

Got deals on black Friday Sale $68. At that price and what other people mention about the product I bought 2, one for me and one for a friend. I have used this about 4 times so far, allI have done is wings. They are the fastest wings done from seasoned raw to cooked golden brown ever, 1 lb about 8 wings takes me about 28 mins for my liking. I don't use any oil, just put the wings in set the time to 28mins and temp to 390F. My friend has made pizza, and cooked frozen samosas in about 7-9 mins depending on the quantity. Samosas were crisp and golden. My friend also cook a steak in it and it was delicious, dry rub with some oil. Very good product so far. If the fryer holds out we might get the larger one 5qt next year Christmas time.

Tengo como 1 mes con ella, la uso casi todos los dias, durante el desayuno o la cena. Tiene ciertos inconvenientes, pero sigue siendo aceptable.Si cocina bien los alimentos, pero en ocaciones es dificil que lo haga de manera uniforme. No he intentado hacer pan o pasta, pero si carne, papas y huevo. A veces hay que dejarla mucho tiempo, quizá sea solo mejor usar el sartén.La he usado para tostar pan y cocinar embutidos. Creo queda mejor que horno eléctrico y estufa. En general la estufa es mas rápida.En el caso de huevo no logré encontrar un recipiente que lo haga bien. Si funciona, pero o se queda pegado, o solo se cocina la parte superior, y de todos modos tengo que usar aceite. Hice omelet con crema (en vez de leche), y me quedo como pastel, no estuvo mal, pero me tarde como 15min y es el mismo sabor de siempre.Lo que me gusta poner son cosas que ya tienen sal o que ya están empanizados, como los nugget de pollo o papas preparadas. Quedan bien sin agregar aceite, pero les puedes embarrar un poco de aceirte, para lograr la textura de freido.Para hacer papas a la francesa, primero lavo, pelo y corto la papa en tiras similares. Las pongo en un recipiente, agrego un poco de aciete (vegetal) y sal (y cualquier otro condimento) y revuelvo un poco para distribuir. El aceite es para que pegue la sal y para darle la textura de freido. Creo quedan bien, pero me pasa que a veces se queman un poquito las partes delgadas de la tira.El tamaño me parece pequeño, sirve para una 1 o 2 personas. Para familias mas grandes, recomiendo comprar la grande.

Great product! Been using for over 1 year. A great choice to add to anyone that's on a health journey or anyone that has a family. It cooks food quickly and well!! Absolutely love this product...only downfall to this product is the nonstick pan, the coating after a short while after regular cleaning started to rub off. Apart from that everything I make turns out terrific!

I have been using the product since 2017 and it's great! I am not sure about all the negative reviews. I have cooked everything from steaks to the whole chicken and fries (obviously). It's a solid product!I clean it after every use and the coating is intact. I just use dish soap and water. It's washed in less than 30 seconds. I have never put the basket in the dishwasher (even though it is dishwasher safe)
