QTEATAK 5 Inch Spring Loaded Adjustable Impact Automatic Center Hole Punch(1 High-Speed Steel Thimble for Replace)

Needed to punch some small dents in steel and this did the job perfectly. If you need more strength, this is not the puncher for you. It’s a little weak, even on the strongest setting, but it was perfect for what I needed it for. It did take some finesse operating it. For instance, you can’t just push straight down, you have to angle it then apply pressure holding the nail in its place while you raise it to the upright position. Then it will punch nicely. Otherwise the impact nail doesn’t impact the metal. Seems like the insides don’t line up correctly. But I still got it to work.

I followed the directions on the description page, but could not get the punch to work. Finally, I unscrewed the body to remove the internal parts, and discovered that 2 internal parts were missing: the Impact Hammer and the Carbon Steel Spring! The package was sealed when I received it, so how in the heck can internal working parts be missing? Very shoddy!

NOT sharp enough to punch through things leather. Sturdy but prefer a T-handle for grip strength since you have to really push to punch through something. But good for marking things like nail/screw holes, firm surfaces, or easy to make holes on paper.

Be prepared to disassemble and reassemble this automatic center punch. When I first tried mine, it didn't punch. I disassembled it and reassembled it, and it worked after that. Something in the assembly must not have been properly aligned.

I forgot who I purchased the prior one from and this isn't it. I tossed the damn thing away too unreliable.

I found that the brass Harbor Freight version is more reliable, works every time & quickly.

This thing is trash. From 50 try, it works once. Waste of time.

The only automatic part of this is that the punch is spring loaded, so punches when you push on it. But it is not automatic in centering the punch at all. Fully manual, held in hand process. End is rather blunt, too. May need to sharpen it if you want more impact. No instructions on use came with it.
