Crescent H.K. Porter 5/8" (#5) Indexing Rebar Bender - RB5, Red/Black

I was skeptical at first because being able to adjust ahead and length of the bar. But that all went away the first time I used it. Very solid, very versatile. Fits the bar nicely. Easy to put it on and off, and being able to Pivot the head makes doing bends In tight places a lot easier. So if you're looking at this having doubts you won't be sorry. Wish I would have bought it years ago. Also got delivered sooner than expected. So if you're a rodbuster a bridge construction guy buy it.

It does what it states it will. I used it to bend rebar for welding garden art and concrete projects. You can bend rounded 90 degree corners but not tight bends. You'll need the motorized benders for the tight bends. Quality HD built with several angle options for head.

Used it to bend 2 90-degree bends in 1/2-inch (#4) rebar 12-inches apart with about 90 percent accuracy for 8 pieces. I'm a 200 pound man and it took all of my weight and strength to make the tight bends. Not sure if a 150 pound person could bend #4 rebar very well. I surmise that #3 rebar would bend twice as easily. I love that the handle retracts for storage and extends for leverage. Great for occasional use. If I had to make 100+ bends, I would purchase a much more expensive professional device.

The indexing rebar bender proved more than equal to the task of creating 90 degree bends in rebar. It is well made and its design is both strong and versatile. After using this tool for its intended purpose, I realized that the rebar gripping notches could just as easily grip wrench and ratchet handles in confined spaces and at odd angles, allowing me to apply greatly increased force to those tools where it was difficult to manage in any other way. Recommended!

Great quality of material and solid bars,very convenient to change angle ,can be also for lift up small material, is much easier and best than the other one

This tool is clever. I can bend rebar on ground with ease. The indexing head allows finishing ties in place. If you ever had the need to add another tie in the middle of a formed column, you know what I mean.

Well designed, well built, delivers exactly as advertised. Easy to adjust, easy to use. Made perfect 90 degree bends, 4" x 12", with #4 bars all day long.

We were building a garage that needed more rebar than expected. This made bending 90 degree corners on #4 rebar easy!
