MEILAN C3 Speed and Cadence Sensor, Two in One Bike Sensor Wireless Speed Sensor Bluetooth Cadence Sensor for Bike Computer, Mobile Phone, Sports Watches and Most APPs Like Zwift MEILAN

The major advantage of Meilan C3 is that it provides both cadence and speed in one unit, unlike some other products that give only one or the other and so you need to buy 2 units if you want both. The installation was easy and the Bluetooth link to Zwift on my iPad was a breeze.I didn't verify the accuracy but I can't imagine it being off too much. The speed sensor and the magnet on the wheel spoke were a lot closer than required. It was about 2 mm in my setup so I think there shouldn't be any missed pulses. The cadence sensor and the magnet on the crank arm were about 1.3 cm apart, which was still within the stated requirement. To check if there are any missed pulses on the cadence channel, one can track both cadence and speed readouts to see if they go up and down together synchronously. I didn't track carefully on mine but at least they did go up and down together.I am using this indoor with my bike fixed on a stationary trainer so I don't know if it will stand up for outdoor use. The build workmanship and the small, light-weight package indicate that it should be fine for at least riding on roads. For rough terrains with muddy puddles, all bets are off. But then again, for riding on rough terrains, you won't have time to check your speed anyways. Your attention should be 100% on negotiating your path and staying on top of your game.

Limited instructions included, but fortunately was fairly easy to set up, and once everything was in the right place it seems to work good. Interface was easy to set up. I use the trimm app on a samsung phone to set up, but it worked with the wahoo app just fine too. Only issue I had was my crank arm had a deep groove in it and the magnet fit down a little too far inside it. Easy fix was just adding a magnet on top of it.

Only used it for a few rides, but very accurate for speed, distance and cadence. Calories burned may be off (lower than comparable devices), but that’s absolutely it (way more accurate and consistent than gps). Be super sure to accurately measure the wheel rotation length when installing and programming!! Do NOT trust the generic values provided! If you change tires, do it again- it makes a difference!! Regardless, if you have any issues, Meilan customer service is great!…no worries; they will do right by you.

Massive connection issues. Maybe connects to Bluetooth every other time. Takes about 20 or 30 tries to get it to connect to Zwift. This is headed back on a return.

mounted this to my spin bike had to fabricate a bracket to hold close on the spin bike wheel but i do have a welder and steel to fabricate bracket other than that it would have been hard to mount ,i have a life fitness spin bike .. ne a bracket let me know .i can send pic of mine

It would have been very easy to install but my carbon road bike had curved wheel frame supports. I could only find one place it would fit and the adjustment was super critical. I gave up and upgraded to separate Wahoo units that only sensed motion. They work perfectly for me.

I needed to add speed and cadence to an old recumbent flywheel bike. With a bit of MaGyver ingenuity, some hot glue, and a metal bracket, I was able to adapt this to fit the bike and the flywheel. I am only using this for speed due to how I needed to mount it, but it works and paired with my Garmin without an issue. I would not have been able to fit one of the non-magnetic models so this worked great.

BLE Bluetooth connectivity works fine with Samsung Galaxy S10. Does not work with Garmin Edge 130 Plus. Garmin Edge 130 Plus will find and connect to this BLE dual speed and cadence sensor, but will not actually get any speed or cadence data from the sensor. This is not the fault of the sensor per se, but if you were hoping to use it with Garmin Edge that supports BLE, you'll likely be out of luck.

As others have mentioned, instructions are a bit sketchy but logic rules. Had to add a magnet to the cadence magnet as my crank has a big offset but am happy on initial installation.

I use it with Wahoo fit on my iPhone se, which is now my cycle computerThis works fine for casual cycling like me.

Je viens d'installer et essayé le C3. J'ai téléchargé l'application meilan pour mon C3 mais elle ne le reconnait pas. Par la suite, j'ai téléchargé ZWIFT, et miracle, tout fonctionne bien. La je suis en stationnaire, j'ai hâte de voir lorsque je vais être en mouvement sur la route.Deux jours après l'avoir installé. l'application MEILAN fonctionne bien une fois bien configuré. Zwift également. Par contre il n'y a pas de version gratuite, elle est payante

I bought this sensor mainly to use for indoor trading on my bike. Easy to install but would recommend viewing on YouTube a installation video if unsure. Links with the Strava app if you are a keen athlete. I used Cyclemeter app for my indoor training which is also good for outdoor training too.
