Deluxe 250-Thread-Count Cotton Damask Stripe Queen Mattress Pad, White

The first time I purchased this mattress pad, was back in 2006 and it was really the only one I ever looked at. When I took it out of the package back in 2006, I knew it was a quality item. The stitching was great, the side that hugs the mattress was nylon and truly stretchy, and the top was so soft. It may not be the highest thread count, but the damask stripe makes it so much softer. The cotton top is so soft and helps to keep me cool. Ever since purchasing that first mattress pad in 2006, I knew that this was the mattress pad I would want in the future.Fast forward to 2012 when my husband and I finally upgrade to a king size bed. I looked several retail stores (Walmart, Ashley Furniture, JCPenny, Target and Walls Bargain Center). Not one of the stores had anything that could even come close to the Newpoint Home Deluxe Cotton Damask Stripe mattress pad! All of the mattress pads they carried were subpar! The stitching in those were ok, the top was ok - mostly made of polyester, and the sides were made out of material that closely resembled first aid gauze. As I was looking one side of the subpar ones, it literally tore at the spandex part (that would fit under the edge of the mattress). These subpar mattress were Simmons Beautyrest, Target brand, JCPenny Home, etc. The most expensive ones were upwards of $100 and were less quality than the Newpoint. I really did not have much choice, so I bought one from JCPenny that was around $40. I would say I tolerated it for ten months, it would make me so hot at night. I believe it was because of the polyester right underneath my fitted sheet. I missed my Newpoint mattress pad so bad!Of course the store I originally bought the very first one at no longer carried the Newpoint brand at all. I was so excited to finally find it available on Amazon! I was finally able to buy two for our king size bed and an extra for all of our kids twin size beds. I have never had any shrinking or melting issues as other reviewers have mentioned. My only issue is that it takes three dry cycles to get the king size completely dry, that is a slight inconvenience - but worth it for the comfort of a mattress pad that has cotton on top.I would highly recommend the Newpoint Home Deluxe 250 Thread Count Cotton Damask Stripe King Mattress pad to everyone!

I bought and returned SEVERAL mattress pads; finally this one is a KEEPER! just as in the product description: 100% Cotton topper, Quality construction (stitching, seams and elastic band;) and soooo soft. A dream product at a competitive price.

Bought this for my queen bed and have had it for about 2 weeks. It replaces a softer more padded one I had that just wore out. I thought I'd give this one a shot because everything in the stores was at least $10 more and seemed like lesser quality. It fits pretty well. I would like it to be slightly more taught so it doesn't bunch as it gets worn but for this price it's comfortable and I can just get a new one if it stretches out at some point. Provides protection between my sheet and the mattress. It is pretty good quality too. Other reviewers said it was extra padded but I think it has just slightly more padding than any other pad I shopped for in the stores. Does the trick and for $15, no tax and free shipping you can't go wrong.

This mattress pad is exactly what I was expecting. I have a king mattress that is pretty thick (21" IIRC) and this thing fits perfectly and performs the function I needed - to keep the mattress itself clean and protected from stains/dirt/etc. I have not tried spilling any water or liquids on it, but since it is not designed to be waterproof, I doubt it would do much to protect against it. This thing is essentially a thicker, slightly padded, glorified fitted sheet, which is just what I needed.I was originally a little worried that our new pillow top mattress would become "less soft" or feel any different than it did (we loved it as it was!). Luckily this mattress pad simply protects the mattress but did not change the comfort of the bed in our opinions.I haven't tried washing or drying this pad yet, so we'll see how it goes when that happens. Based on other reviews, I'm thinking I'll air dry, or at least just tumble with no heat.I definitely recommend this product, and I would definitely buy it again. I doubt it can be beat for the price.

Well this is a queen-sized mattress topper. it does have the subtle striping pattern on it which is nice. seems like the right size, decent fit and finish, nothing to write home about. Has a pretty significant smell when opened, as do many things packaged in china (yes elsewhere too) and left to marinate in their phlalates. Letting it sit out a day or two, or washing will help. As others have mentioned, if you put it in the dryer just do so for a short period, but safest to just air dry it, which really isn't that much to ask we're just so stuck on convenience nowadays. What I don't like about it is how thin the actual mattress pad is; there's just not much filling in it, and brand new, it just seems like it's been lied on already quite a bit. Then again it was tightly packaged for who knows how long, so that could contribute. Maybe it will expand with time but, matter cannot be created nor destroyed, and there isn't much matter here to begin with. The price isn't too high, and it is what it says it is, so at this price level (15, i paid) if it's what you're looking for get it. I guess it's just not going to be as lofty as a down mattress pad or a similar $40+ piece.

Still hugs the mattress even after many washings.

Mattress cover is amazing. Was so easy to fit to mattress, went on easily and has stayed in place.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this cover. Last one I had was $125 and I know it wasn't as good as this. Much thicker than I thought with deep, deep corners and very comfortable. Would recommend this to all family and friends.

Product is very nice quality but fits small. I ordered a queen but it’s small for my queen mattress. Deep pockets though which is nice. Keeping it and using on a double bed which it fits perfectly.

Great mattress cover. Excellent quality. First mattress cover I could find that fit my new super deep queen size mattress. Has a nice cushion feel. Purchased a waterproof mattress cover, that claimed to be breathable, but I would always wake up feeling damp... but not with this mattress cover. I replaced the waterproof cover with this mattress cover and the feeling damp issue disappeared. Price is great. Highly recommend. Love it!
