Good Helmet @ Good Price
Recently, I purchased 2 of these roller derby / skateboarding style helmets. 1) Silver for about $13. 2) Blue for about $11. The color was more of a light aqua blue but looked fine. These are the lowest prices you will find.I use them as bike helmets. I also bought an identical yellow one on Amazon for $15 from a different vendor. Prices on Amazon tend to average about $20 for this exact style. One factory in China makes them but are sold on Amazon under private labels.I recommend adults get the Large. There is an adjustable knob in the back. If you are having trouble squeezing your head into a size large helmet, check to make sure the plastic piece where the knob is goes below your helmet not inside your helmet.If the knob is inside the helmet, it will be blocked. You can turn your helmet upside down. Gently, use a finger and slowly lift up the plastic piece where the knob is. With your other hand, slowly, turn the knob and it should expand past the outside of your helmet.There is enough styrofoam insulation in the helmet to give decent protection.Amazon does sell more stylish bike helmets but some have half the thickness of the styrofoam insulation so be careful and read the reviews. The protection is not the same.I reduced a star because the straps could be more durable.
