This is just the weight I was looking for! I washed it once on cold, dried most of the way with no heat and ironed it damp. It wasn't terribly wrinkly but after ironing, it looked great. Did not measure before washing but the edges did not curl or pull in so it seems that there was little to no shrinkage. No bleeding of red into white. The plaid is a little smaller than I was expecting but I really like it (see photo).

I use this for picnics with my two small grandchildren and we all love it. It's just big enough for all three of us to sit on with a small picnic. I've washed it several times and it hold up nicely. The fabric is thick and sturdy (not super thick but enough for a picnic blanket or tablecloth. Tradition is nice too (red and white checkered print).

The fabric is a very good weight. It looks beautiful on my card table for outside dining.

For the money, you cannot go wrong here! The table cloth was EXACTLY what I was hoping for. The material is a nice, heavyweight cotton, with the small check pattern I was going for. I'm slowly working towards an Italian restaurant theme for my dining area, and this tablecloth is a perfect fit!
