I trusted the reviews on this one. Looking for above 4 stars and this thing coming in at nearly perfect - too good to be true!! I just didn't have time to actually read many of them and if I did, I would have seen many of them have nothing to do with this item!! Even the questions don't relate to this item. I do believe either Amazon is losing it's grip on UPC numbers or whatever else it uses to ensure the item being sold is the one being SOLD! What they really need is a way to stop all these one to five word reviews, allowing the manufacturer or resellers from skewing the reviews everyone relies on. This is where reading feedback of eBay resellers far outweighs reviews of an item left on Amazon. On eBay, a seller is held responsible for the items they sell, not just their performance. On Amazon, most everyone never bothers to leave seller feedback as Amazon keeps that part well hidden. It is the item review everyone is more interested in on Amazon as most buyers don't even think about the sellers.I bought two of these for my home. One for my upstairs computer and telephone base and the other for downstairs and my FireTV Stick plus other devices to hook up to. I'm a retired IT guru who has seen probably everything. So yes, like another reviewer, I too laughed when I read the JaEnglish instructions. But I figured seen one, seen 'em all. It operated exactly as I thought it would, however, for the faint of heart, if you've never configured one of these, plan to spend a little more time on it, especially if you have to start all over again.Bottom line: After numerous tests using very specific methods, my conclusion was simply RETURN THESE AT ONCE!! My 10 year old Gateway laptop clocks in at over 50mbps when directly linked to my wifi router. No matter how I configured this device, my laptop could not get above 12mbps. It's bad enough I bought into a FireTV Stick (2nd gen) that also has a 12-14mbps range, having to deal with yet a "Train Station" that only allows 12 trains though at a time when I need at least 50, is simply not worth the price they asked. It also runs extremely hot which leaves me failing in the comfort zone.So back these two little guys go. Now it's time to look for something again, but this time, I'll read more than a few reviews and look at the questions to see if they even make sense!

I consider myself pretty tech savvy. I have all kinds of switches, routers, computers, smart home devices, etc that I have been able to connect with no issues. First thing, the instructions that come with this are in broken English, I chuckled a few times. I purchased this to set up as an AP (access point), there was no mention of it anywhere in the instructions how to set that up. So I figured there must be more information on the web, NOPE, could not find any info on this product except places selling them. No company called VICTONY anywhere. Returning it to Amazon.

This product is TERRIBLE! It doesn’t work. At all. I had to send it back for a refund (bought a brand name extender for a few more bucks, plugged it in and it worked great). Don’t waste your time or money.Also, I was tricked by a bunch of 5 star reviews that were present when I purchased it. It seems to now show the 1 star reviews it deserves and idk how they pulled that off, but in case the five star reviews are somehow back - DONT BE FOOLED! This product is garbage and doesn’t work at all!

DO NOT BUY i have had this extender since first week if may, moved in may 25 and have had internet connection issues when i am using the extender since day 1. Because i dont have direct access to the modem i didnt realize that it was the extender before the return window closed, but it is the extender. Waste of money, stress with the landlord and time.

I bought this piece of garbage after looking at all the fabulous 5* reviews this had. It's been working on and mostly off since we got it. Last week it totally died, can't get it to connect to the wifi at all now, and I'm 10 days past the return window. Waste of money! We should all be able to get our money back for false advertising. Not happy.

Definitely improved my wifi for my room that's farthest from router. Only thing I notice is sometimes my TV internet wont connect and if I unplug and plug it back in everything works fine but I have have to do this once a week.

I wanted to extend my range on my AC 5300 ASUS Router and gave this product a try. Sadly, it did not work at extending the range of the router.
