I had my first panic attack ever and decided that journaling might be in my best interest (if this doesn't help, therapy it is...). I don't feel comfortable writing my actual thoughts down in a journal because I'm a people pleaser. I write like someone is reading it. This locking journal is really helping me get past that fear. The lock is sturdy so far. It doesn't feel flimsy. I like the pen holder and ribbon as a bookmark. I love the leaf design on the outside. I also love the padded cover. It just feels nice when I carry it around the house (keeping it constantly around so I feel okay writing a sentence or two in a moment). I also love the place at the top to mark the date and the day of the week. Highly recommend.

Great journal. It has a ton of pages in it and is good quality. The paper isn’t quite thick enough to use colored pens as you can see the writing on the other side of the page. And the lock is a bit stiff, the numbers will only move when rotated in one direction. But other than that it’s a great journal.

This is a beautiful journal. The lock mechanism isn't super smooth and easy to use, but it gets the job done.

The quality of the case itself it great and soft. The leather case actually holds a separate book in it so you can reuse the case which is nice (the pictures explain this better). I like that there are so many pages as well as ribbon to use as a book mark because I wanted this to last awhile.There's a sort of calendar that you can fill out the months and days with so there's no set time for the calendar itself as well.The lock works good too. Though, you can't unlock the book, switch the combination lock to different numbers, and then try to lock the book closed. That could be an issue if you write in a way that exposes the back, otherwise it wouldn't matter that you would have to leave the right combination in place in order to lock your book. Over all, I like this product and I would certainly recommend it for anyone else looking for a more secure book to write in.

According to other reviews, the lock quality is hit or miss. I guess I got a hit, because over the course of 50 days, I filled this thing from cover to cover and the lock still works fine. I used this in combination with some washi tape and stickers for light scrapbooking and can say that the strap has held up under the tension of the book's bloat. I'm not a fan of the "date and weekday" print on each page, and I'm having a hard time figuring out where to buy refills, but I got what I bought and I'm happy with it.

I purchased this on a recommendation to start therapeutic writing but I had to have something very private so no one except me and whomever I chose to could see it. I chose this after reading reviews and have been pleasantly pleased with it. It was easy to set and I haven’t had the first problem with the lock or it not wanting to open. The instructions were very easy to understand. I have had it for about two or three months and have written in it a total of 4 or 5 times and it’s still in perfect condition. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sense of privacy in their writing or just wanting a beautiful journal!

Lock works well, perfect size, pretty design

Good quality. Pictures are exactly what you get. The lock is sturdy. Someone could only get in if the cut the strap. I also pick locks for fun and can't get this one yet so it's not bad. It is thicker than I realized. But not bad. The front and back cover are about an 1/8" thick each.
