How To Use 1. This tool works best on hair that is only slightly damp. 2.Apply a twist and lock gel or your regular styling gel to your slightly damp hair. 3.You may also apply some of your styling product to the sponge. 4.Use sponge and go in a circular motion across your head. 5.Do not press heavily on the hair.Spin in one direction only. 6.Within minutes, you will have a head of perfectly formed twists.

I've had the opportunity to use both sides. I used the smaller side when my hair was shorter. The curls were small and it gave my hair a nice bit of texture. As my hair grew out, I started using the larger side. It took more "rolling" due to my hair length but it still produced nice looking curls.A star lost for the small side starting to peel off/come unglued shortly after I switched to using the large side. So far I'm still using one of the two sponges so if my first completely falls apart, I'll still have the other.
