I would like to start off by saying it's not leak proof, it isn't intended to be leak proof they tell you that in the product description. If you can't be bothered to read the product details you probably shouldn't be buying things on line.Now this is a great little bento box, certainly not the largest on the market; again they don't claim to be. For a larger bento check out ECOlunchbox giant. I use this particular bento in my bug out bag as my tinder box/backup mess kit. The stainless steel allows for it to be cooked in to boil water/soup, a small fry pan and the lid makes a decent plate, though I wish the lid had a flat surface for that but it still works. I've even made cookies on the fire in these. Dough goes in the top, a little water in the bottom one, lid on clamps on and put it in the fire. Baking times will very depending on the size of your fire and your elevation. My larger tin is my hydration kit. Holds my life straws, purification tabs, etc.. With room for my fishing kit snare wire back up multitool and whet stones. The carry case for this one holds my sling shot and spare parts for it. Along with a multitude of other useful gear, that needs to be contained.The clamps used on this particular box are excellent I really like the lock in place design over that of other bento'sGreat product wish it was just a quarter inch bigger in all directions.Other than that I will be buying more.P.s. there was one minor issue the lid of the "pod" was slightly out of shape on one corner. As these are stainless steel reshaping might be an issue for some, for me it was not much of an inconvenience, I have the right tools for the job. Soccer mom's you can't just bend this back into place with your hands. Return it they'll replace it.Thanks, hope this helps y'all make a decision.

I bought two of these for my two little ones. I wanted something that was only stainless steel with no plastic/silicone. I was quite impressed with the quality. It is a very solid lunchbox and compact enough that it doesn’t take up too much space. But don’t think there won’t be space for food. The two layers will give you ample space. I have a hard time filling them actually.Plus it comes with its own zippered bag that is tall enough to put a small ice pack underneath so the food stays cold until the kids are ready to eat lunch.Because there is no silicone, it’s not leak proof. I haven’t tried to put any wet foods in it and probably won’t try to either. It’s good for sandwiches, salads, pasta, fruits, veggies and snacks.Would highly recommend!

I got this mainly to get away from plastic boxes but this one disappointed me with both the overall size (small for human adult) and quality of fit -in terms of leaks. The small box which is provided does not fit properly and anything liquid in that leaks. The cover provided is not insulated. Things tend to cool off pretty fast.

I was very disappointed with this product. I should have returned.The small container lid did not fit properly but not terribly bad, so I decided to keep it. However, now the container has split at the top on both sides...very poorly made.

Perfect size and love individual compartments. Stainless steel is a much healthier material than plastic and better for the environment!

The quality is good. The overall product could be better if if it was leakproof.

This a great lunch box set, steel product & airtight.
