I did like it...
But her romantic crap is very stupid. It never goes anywhere anyway. It didn't ruin the story, but it annoyed. Her attempt to use Spanish while in Carlos' POV did too, because she doesn't understand enough to use it correctly. A few phrases of Mexican slang doesn't really cut it for someone from a different Spanish-speaking country. It would have ruined nothing by leaving him speaking only English. Or she could have researched a little better. But the story was good. I did enjoy it. It wasn't quite as good as Umbrella Conspiracy or City of the Dead, but it was lightyears better than Caliban Cove or Underground, and it was a very good read by itself. There were even improvements in some areas over the other books, though her overuse of the abbreviation 'copter' still irritates. Just say chopper or use the full word! But I did enjoy this book, I have bought the next one, I will continue on to the end, and I do like this author. No one is perfect, and these are only my critiques; my displeasures could make the book for someone else.

Great Writer, Great Novelization
I'll just get this out of the way at the start: everybody knows that the writing talent of authors who do spin-offs and tie-ins usually leaves a lot to be desired. Stated more directly, the writing is usually pretty bland and unimaginative. So I was very pleasantly surprised when I discovered that S. D. Perry does not fall into this category of under-talented writers. She's good, good enough that I finished the book, which I usually don't do when I buy the occasional spin-off novel. She does not deliver a simple bare-bones narrative of the events of Resident Evil 3, but rather a fleshed-out exploration of the story behind the events. She's great at bringing the characters to life and getting inside their heads. We get to see what they are thinking and feeling, to become acquainted with their motivations, doubts, fears and strengths. She's also very good at painting a picture with her words, bringing the undead and mutant horrors of Racoon City into stark relief on the picture screen of my mind. I plan on reading some of Perry's other Resident Evil novels and I would suggest you do the same.

A Great Read for Any RE Fan!
I'll start off by saying that I'm a huge RE nerd. I love this stuff and the novels by Mrs. Perry are amazing and I recommend them to any RE fan. I first read these books right after RE0 was released on the GameCube. I also recommended these be released on the Kindle about ten times over the past two years, so when they finally did I snatched them all up on their release dates!Resident Evil: NemesisIf you've played the games then I would recommend that you read these books in numerical order (making RE0 last). There are some discrepancies between the books because the RE universe has been tweaked and updated for clarification over the past fifteen or so years. Mrs. Perry does mention this at the beginning of her books and for the most part they still flow together nicely and don't take away from stories at all. She did an amazing job with this series and I think anyone who loves RE will love this book. The author covers all the major plot points and adds a little bit of a background story (and character (Trent)) to string the novels together. In this particular book since it's mainly viewed from Jill's perspective she was able to leave just about everything from the game in the book. I highly recommend this book and it is personally my 3rd favorite in the series.

Resident Evil 3 Video game Novelized!
S.D. Perry did it again! This novelization of the video game "Resident Evil 3: Nemesis" was amazing. The author did a wonderful job blending the main characters together along with their separate stories. The background of each character was evolved deeper in this book. If you are a fan of the video game series then this is a must read! 5 stars all day!

The best in the series
This one, I think, is the best in the series. Everything here from the pacing, the varied characters, the writing itself, all good. Perry seemed to be at the top of her game. Which is sadly appropriate, given that the next two books were bad. My only real complaint here is...why is Jill back in Raccoon? In the beginning of Underworld, it shows her packing for the big Europe mission in Maine. It doesn't make any sense and it's never explained.

Another great RE novel!
Like all of SD Perry's novelizations of one of my all-time favorite game series', this installment does not disappoint! I would've preferred more canonical accuracy here with certain characters like: Tyrell Patrick and Murphy Seeker being included, Nicholai surviving(I greatly enjoyed his characterization in this novel), and Barry Burton saving Jill and Carlos at the end but there's really no denying that this is another must-read for fans of the games!

Good story
I have been impressed with this entire series so far. For novels based on video games they are very engaging. The author is excellent at pulling the readers in and keeping them entertained from start to finish. This novel sees the destruction of Raccoon City, the machinations of Trent being realized, and the obliteration of Nemesis monsters. Read it.

What It's Worth.
At the time of this writing, I have not yet played RESIDENT EVIL. However, I have read the novel adaptation of the game (THE UMBRELLA CONSPIRACY) and that novel intrigued me so much that I wanted to check the continuing adventures of my favorite character from that novel, Jill Valentine, by reading NEMESIS. The book was exactly what I expected. The story is fairly engaging. The plot doesn't just focus on one character, but revolves around several. There are several surprises (if you've never played the game) and lots of action. I also enjoyed the final epilogue about Trent which made the novel that much more enjoyable to read.Great book for Resident Evil fans or anyone interested in reading mindless action/horror adventure.

Very good, highly reccomended
Resident Evil: nemesis is a dramatic and evolved telling of the video game of the same name. This novelisation goes beneath the surface of the original story, expanding on the characters and their personalities in ways not possible in other mediums. This is all done to a high standard, resulting in a very enjoyable book full of action that doesn't let up for a second. However, I did notice continuity issues where one character references an event earlier in the book that actually happened to someone else, with them having no reason to even know about it

STARSSSSS !!!
I knew I'd love reading this book as it took me back to my early twenties when I totally hammered the game over and over again as it was that awesome and this didn't fail me. I'm reading the whole series and would recommend this just read them in the correct order.
