Great alternative to a fret wrap
Gruv Gear makes great fret wraps, but these are a nice "permanently" installed string damper (above the nut). They should be inserted with string tension loosened because it is too thick to get under the strings easily with full tension.

Nice string dampeners
Work well if you don't want to use fretwraps or string clamps or anything like that. They fit securely and don't move once you secure them. Really nice.

The Photos Are A Lie.
I tried these on two Gibson SGs. The fit was horrible, and they look like hell by the time you get them in place. Do yourself a favor, and get fret wrap from some company and put it behind the nut.

Seems to Work
I use a FretWedge on my six-string bass, and it seems to work by reducing sympathetic string vibrations.

Get the Gruv Gear fret wedge NOW
Stopping unwanted vibration and overtones at the nut is what this fret wedge is all about. This is a great companion to thr Gruv Gear fret wraps. Yes, I use both on my bass that I bough both products for. The fret wedge is in a 2 pack, so one went on my p bass that I have done lots of mods and upgrades to. This is one of those products I stumbled across that I decided to try. It works. The other fret wedge in the pack goes on a tele I built. I really am pleased with the way this product killed the unwanted overtones at the nut. The fret wdge and fret wraps belong together on my bass. The more I use them, the better I like them. Yes, they will be going on all of my guitars.

The wrap is better
Works but doesn’t stay in place. Constantly re adjusting it.

Don't waste your money
Gruve gear makes great stuff this Product looked like a great alternative to fret wraps but don't waste your money they are noisy keep your fret wraps they dampen almost all noise coming from strings behind the nut

doesn't fit on all guitars
fits my Kiesel OK but does not fit my ESP M-I, had to rip out the foam to be able to insert the fuzzy velcro part under the strings. Honestly, just get a hair tie or a piece of velcro (the fuzzy side) and you'll achieve the same thing
