Useful for far more than I expected
As several reviewers mention, this disk works well as a back support. I've tried several lumbar supports that are actually intended for that purpose and this one works better than them all! I love how a piece of equipment so small and portable is so versatile.I've found a variety of ways to use this disk. For example you can lie with it under your hips (on the floor) for a nice stretch. Of course you can do standing balance work on it, but you can also use it as a head rest in lying down stretches or experiment with placing it under different parts of the body in floor exercises. I also use it conjunction with the two little green balls that come with the Miracle Ball Method by Elaine Petrone. There are even more things I could do with these disks if I just had two instead of one. In short, this little piece of exercise equipment is useful for far more than I imagined when I bought it!The disk is good quality, and after reading many reviews for others that mentioned problems, I've been glad I purchased this one. Though I haven't needed to add air, I'm glad that I can if I want to. (some companies makes disks that you can't adjust).

So far, I really like it!
I received my GoFit Core Disk about 2 weeks ago and so far, I really like it. I also use a physio-ball for most of my ab work, but was looking for something new to try. This item fits the bill. I use it for lunges, balancing on two feet, one foot, sit-ups, etc. I like the fact that it came with an instructional DVD (Not a fitness routine, just exercise options). The disk arrived inflated slightly, but I felt it needed a little more air. It comes with an inflation pin (taped to the packaging) and you have to have a bike pump to add more air. I've also been using the fit disk to sit on while I work on my computer (I'm sitting on it now) and it has really improved my sitting posture and makes working on the computer not such a sluggish activity. My only complaint and reason that I am not giving it 5 stars is I wish that some instructional guide (not a DVD) had been included. I like to watch trashy TV while I workout, so I can't do that and watch the instructional DVD at the same time. A chart or booklet of different exercises would have been perfect for me so that I could refer to it as I was using the disk. Also, some instruction as to the amount that the disk should be inflated to would have been helpful too. Just recommendations about disk inflation for certain levels, exercises, uses. etc.Lastly, the disk shown above is blue. I received a red one. No problem for me, because I much prefer red to blue, but Amazon might want to let people know that the color they see might not be the color they get.

Waste of a Product...not worth it
Air valve did not allow any air in making the skpiky cushion unusable. No complimentary needle was in package although one was listed on box. The exercise booklet was there but no use instructions or warranty info. I sent it back for a full refund. Not worth even $5.00

Needs written instructions and DVD makeover
Most of the products from this company come with printed exercises but not this. It has only a DVD. It has plenty of exercises on it but the DVD is difficult to use while exercising. There is no repeat feature and you have to manually go back to the main menu and re-select the exercise each time, several times until you learn the exercise. Whenever it comes to stretching-type exercises it is real easy to overdue them or position the disc just slightly incorrectly. Having to constantly get up to replay the exercise topic on the DVD just makes this extremely inconvenient. There is a small insert that says "ATTENTION: If you have any issues with the operation of this DVD, DO NOT RETURN your product to the store" and it gives a phone number and email address. Problem is, the DVD operates fine but its production and layout is simply bad. Typically, this happens when a company fails to conduct sufficient customer feedback prior to a program's release. All of this company's products come with warnings to consult professionals and you certainly should with this product. Although it looks like a simple device, many of the exercises use it under the small of your back. This is not a good idea for someone with lower back issues. Best to check with your physical therapist or doctor before attempting this type of exercise.

Durable, Easy and Fun
I purchased this core disk based on its durability and feel. Several co-workers had started sitting on core disks to help improve the strength of their core muscles so I was able to try several different brands. I found the GoFit Core Disk to be the best suited for me. It seemed to provide just a little more challenge than some of the others to remain balanced. I also use mine to stand on and it is strong and maintains its inflation level over time. The GoFit Core Disk is easy to inflate to the correct firmness with only one or two pumps with a bicylce pump. The price was less than in a local sporting good store but slightly more than other brands. I would recommend to friends and co-workers.

product has been cheapened and is no longer worth buying
I have purchased six of these disks (one for myself and five for friends), one at a time, since 2012. The first one I got was very good quality; it was smooth on top (not bumpy as pictured) and made from a very durable rubber, unlike the more recent versions that are brighter red and are made from some kind of slippery plastic (hence the need for adding the bumps). The original one is still working great and is better shaped than the newer ones, which are flatter and do not last well. My last one died after about a year. It sprang a leak; the inlet for adding air was defective and would allow no more air to be added; and the red plastic itself developed a split on the outer edge between the upper and lower halves (i.e., on a seam; see attached pic). I was very pleased with the initial version and would rate it 5 stars; but the newer version I would only rate two stars (and I think I am being generous). I won't buy another one. They have lowered the quality to where I am looking at other brands.
