Material is ok and lighter works as advertised
Like the first reviewer mention the base does not fit. When I first took out of the box it fit fine. But after I remove to put in the butane not sure if butane expanded the base of the lighter or deformed it it won't snap back on. So don't even bother with the base.The lighter works fine it lights up and you can adjust strength plus lock it up so you don't need to hold the igniter button.Also it has different mode by twisting the little wheel right in back of the flame base to regular flame or torch mode so that is a neat feature.The quality is ok because it looks metalic like shiny silver when you take a closer look it's plastic silver coated base which is why when after you put it butane it might of deform it.Overall it's. Good working flame and windprood torch lighter. If anything brakes will update while I use it at work.

Lights on first try everytime
Really great torch. This will melt anything you out in front of it. Adjustable airflow, adjustable gas knob, lock flame on is a nice feature, dependable These things will last forever if you burn premium butane and clean torch head occasionally. Highly recommend

Doesn't last long in daily use
It started failing to light within the year, and now requires an external spark or flame to ignight the torch. Disappointed in this purchase.

!WARNING!
It was perfect at first. Then after about 10 uses fuel started to leak out of the bottom mid ignition and almost took off my hand. I'm a mechanic so I thought I'd be capable of figuring out and fixing the problem which I thought was the fuel canister stopper at the bottom. Well I tightened it and it still leaked right out the bottom so I said screw it and ordered a different one. My red one is still sitting on my shelf.

Very sturdy, new item, will recommend.
Only gave 4* because I haven't tried it yet. Item is new and a bit bigger than I expected. Ignition button is stiff, better to avoid unwanted use by children. Will update review when I use.

Great torch to light my Big Green Egg. Insure the adjustment near the top is correct to insure it lights on first ignition. Highly recommend.
