*** Note: This review is about the SW-208 speakers.I've already bought a sound bar from this maker because of the price and the quality you get. My Mac Mini has a small amp and I needed a decent set of powered speakers without an absurd price. These turned out to be perfect for the job. Small enough to not take away a lot desktop space and the sound is very impressive. I have a bluetooth speaker from a major brand which was 4 times the cost of these and these speakers put out a better sound. They also stay on until I turn them off. My bluetooth speaker shuts itself off every 30 minutes which is annoying and a big reason for me buying these speakers.These also work nicely with my MacBook Pro. The built in equalizer in the computers along with the separate bass and treble settings on the speakers make it easy to get excellent sound and plenty of volume. Keep in mind these are not made to fill an arena with sound they're made for a quality desktop experience and they deliver that. I'm glad I bought these. I saved a lot of money and got a lot of sound.From my experience I found that if I set the computer volume to almost full volume and control the volume from the speakers that I get the best sound and zero distortion. Also set the speakers as far apart as allowed with the wired connection and the sound will seem like it's coming from right in front of you in perfect balance. Set the bass and treble to the levels to your preference and enjoy the big sound these desktop speakers put out.

I really like every feature of this unit with the exception of the sound control. I use this as the center speaker for my desktop surround sound system. In order to find and adjust the sound I need to actually look at the controls, which are flush mounted, so when watching a movie in very low light I cannot see the controls to adjust them without turning on a light and dealing with limited adjustment space. Raising the plus and minus controls, as currently opposed to being flush on the unit, would enable me to adjust by feel, which would be very useful in my configuration. This is the only reason I didn't give this unit 5 stars.

I’m going to focus on a few points that make this speaker a great option to purchase:The item arrived on time, and it was well packaged, therefore there the speaker was in excellent condition without any damages or scratches. It also included everything that was as advertised, so no missing items.Connectivity was pretty straightforward. Since it is a wired connection, it is extremely reliable compared to a wireless connection which can sometimes drop signal. You need to power the speaker through the USB connection and then use the AUX/(R/L) cord to play your music/media. There are buttons on the side of the speaker, which can control the volume and bass, which is fantastic.The structure of the speaker is durable, which can last a long time. It has a nice weight to it as well, which can help it properly sit on a table/desk.It has a great sound which makes watching videos/movies more enjoyable. Overall I’m happy with this product and recommend for people who are looking for reliability that is within budget.

Speaker sounds great, and is surprisingly loud for being USB powered.. My only complaint would be that it has some line noise and it goes dead when not in use so when you start up a song or video there is a 3-5 second delay before the sound starts to come out of the speakers, this is only a problem if I'm watching something and pause, then I miss a few words.

I finally got it to work, but sound output cuts out and back in, again, over and over. I couldn't find a current driver to address the issue. I solved the issue by turning volume on the sound bar all the way up. I was aware that the bar required 2 power USB ports and I verified I was using ports that supplied power. I tried to, anyway. I used both ports on the motherboard, directly, and on the front, USB 2 and USB 3. I mixed and matched. The problem was consistent until I turned the bars volume all the way up, which resolved.

Poor sound quality! There is only one setting where the bass sounds barely acceptable; any higher and it has a wobble sound, with it turned lower or off the sounds is very tinny. Also, the four buttons on the right side that control speaker and bass volume are flush with the side of the unit and hard to locate without seeing them. Would much prefer a simple dial. Purchased this item on prime day alongside a cheaper TaoTronics, and we all prefer the TaoTronics.

Left sound from right speaker and vice versa. The volume control is also pretty bad. There is no button detent or some type of "feel" identifier to figure out where the volume buttons are, forcing you to have to look at the side of the speaker every time you want to adjust the speaker volume. The buttons are slightly raised, but not enough to make a noticeable difference.Aside from that, the sound quality doesn't seem bad, hence two stars.

The sound quality is poor. The speakers buzz and crack a little too. The quality of bass sounds is especially poor. There is no volume control, except turning the volume up or down on your computer. The sound is better than the computer's speakers, yes, but for the money, should be a much higher quality piece of equipment. I like the bar shape of the speakers, just wish the sound quality was better.
