Better than an electric grinder.
Overall I really like this product. It grinds coffee at a even consistency, and a much finer grind then a $50 electric grinder.I did not find this difficult to use but it does take a little while to grind your coffee. But at only $9.99 I found this to be a much more desirable product than an expensive electric one.I compared this manual grinder to a $50 Burr grinder coffee machine. Somehow this cheap little manual grinder is a better product. And I would definitely recommend it.My only concern with this product and the reason it lost two stars in my review, is the paint started chipping off instantly. Because of this paint chipping I would say this product is only worth $5 at the most.

It's lightweight and works fine
A number of reviewers mentioned that it feels unstable or like the top will come off while you're turning the crank. That's just part of the trade off. This is a small, portable grinder. Therefore it is lightweight, and it does not have a strong, steady base. That means you have to hold it down pretty well while you grind the coffee. If you do that, it feels more stable, but you do have to use a bit of muscle. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for every day use - there are electric grinders for not much more money that will probably do a better job, and you don't have to do any work - but for what it is, I think it's fine.

Good, if you have the time
I was very excited to start using the grinder, as our electric grinder was broken. I decided to buy a manual grinder because the electric grinders are usually very loud. I was very disappointed when, setting the grinder to a fine setting, I cranked and cranked for a few minutes, only to end up with about 1/4 inch of grounds. I set the grinder to a more coarse setting and tried again, but it was still painfully slow. Finally, I set the grinder to the maximum coarseness, and was able to finish the job.Basically, if you want fine coffee, you'll spend several minutes or more to get a small amount. If you are okay with coarse coffee, you might do it in 2 or 3 minutes which, to me, is just far too long to wait.

Leaves a bit to be desired
Overall I like the design & color. I like the cup function-the way you take the bottom piece off that holds the grounds, it feels really secure. On the other hand, the top comes off too easy and does not feel very secure when turning the grinder-it is a constant worry that the lid will just come off while turning. I like the metal turner, gives it a quality feel.

Great for travel and camping
This coffee grinder is easy to use and compact for travel, I would take it camping as well, but haven't had a chance yet. I have owned it a little over a month and use it for work as I travel over several states. The only thing that could cause some a problem is the top doesn't secure on so you have to press down on it with your opposite hand (or just hold it, which is what I do) to ensure that the top and handle don't move off of the connecting rod.It has an adjustment screw inside the bottom section which opens with a slight twist to empty the coffee grounds. So far no concerns about the grinding mechanism and will update if any issues do appear. Not sure why Amazon is concerned about how sheer it is, I will not be wearing it.

Likes to self adjust, but otherwise very compact and easy to use
Grind size is unstable — when you set it and start grinding, by the time you’re done it’s self adjusted to 1/8” shards. It’s still quite useful but needs adjusting every time. It’s not perfect but only takes a second or two.Don’t try to plant it on the counter and grind. Hold it in one hand and crank it with the other. It’s easy to get a quick grind this way, it takes me about 90s to grind enough for a full French press.

Works fine but..
When my wife and I first pulled this out to use, we noticed it wasn't easy to turn the lever. So much so I thought I would break it if I were to apply full force. So finally I just applied force and it could grind just fine. The instructions did not mention this was needed to get it "started" but it is in fact the problem I think a lot of people are talking about.Works just fine.

Plastic cracked on first use
It was easy to use and cute. However, the bottom piece that holds the grounds slipped off very easily, it didn't lock into place. And the plastic on the top piece begin cracking on the first use. It's not like I was super rough with the product! So I'll use it for as long as I can but don't recommend anyone purchase it.

La recomiendo!
The media could not be loaded.
