USB-C is slowly rolling out as the new USB standard, but we’re still in the stage where devices are coming with USB-C plugs but there’s still not enough USB-C sockets to plug them into. I recently found myself in this situation.These simple adapters get around the problem. With them, you can connect a USB-C device to a standard USB3 or USB3.1 Type-A socket. Obviously, you lose out on some of the extras that USB-C can offer but, in most cases, this is not a problem.One of the devices in question was a webcam. It came with a USB-C plug but I didn’t have a spare USB-C socket to plug it into. Using one of these adapters enabled me to connect it to a USB3 socket and the webcam works perfectly.Overall, a great stopgap solution for USB-C devices.

1 out of 4 doesn't work reliably (typically it was the first one I tried).I still got 3 working adapters at a good enough price so not going to bother returning them, but having one go straight in the trash is annoying and doesn't bode well for the longevity of the rest of them.

Bought these to extend my usb c to usb a back to usb c both ends.Guess what, they don't work. They won't power anything at all. Guess you get what you pay for.And yes did try them with 3 brand new leads that themselves work perfectly.

Bought it to transfer data from my SD card reader which has a usb c port to computer but it don't read any thing I tried all four adaptors on two different computers and 4 different usb ports but didn't work at all
