Sleep well little ratty...
I bought this item after I saw an unwanted visitor sniffing around my rabbit hutch. With two small children and a rabbit, I wanted to be extra careful with traps/bait in the garden, and this bait station fits the bill. The bait station is sturdily built, and looks like the kind of professional item that a pest control company would use. It locks by use of a supplied key, making it tamper proof for little fingers. Inside there are two bait areas to put grain-style poison, and an area to clip in specially designed traps (not supplied). In addition, there is a metal skewer which can be used for making a kind of bait-kebab.The design of the station makes it unlikely that a rodent will drag out poisoned bait, and the box can be fastened down to prevent accidental knocking. Personally, I've opted for placing a large plant pot on top to stop the station being picked up or moved.

Larger than I expected, well made too
A much larger device than I had in mind, and room inside for plent of types of poisons to be laid out. I have previously laid poison blocks on ground, under well constructed "huts" of broken flags. So far a total of 14 blocks have been totally consumed, so Lord knows how many rats I have had feeding around back garden of mine. These were held down firmly with long Guy-rope pins, which I found ideal. Pushed through centre of block, into soil. I didn`t dare do this under the Choisia shrub where birds feed so using bait station at that point, Thankfully the birds are ignoring it. Brilliant device, so If anyone is pondering as to it being big enough, I assure you, it certainly is. Neither a hedgehog, nor a cat would be able to enter this box, so no problem there. Ace device. And that on bird table is most likely deceased by now as he has never been back, btw, that was a little one.

Delivered promptly the next day.
Larger than I expected, but very sturdy. The instructions are a little unclear with regards to the grain bait divider. I was unsure which way up was correct -I put mine with the cutout upwards. Also there is no mention of using gloves to avoid leaving a " human" scent - something other sellers specify. The key is a bit strange as it has 3 arms, but only 1 fits the lock. I haven't worked out what the other 2 are for.It was easy to bait with sealed packets, by threading them onto the rod.

Just what i needed
Had a furry visitor feasting under the bird feeders so needed a way of getting him but not the birds.Item was excellent value, seems well put together & after loading it last Sunday with some loose rat bait in the middle section & an unopened bag hanging on the rod in one of the end compartments, gave it a check tonight & something has been nibbling!Reckon he has taken a fatal dose.Bye bye Ratty!!

hopeful it will work
this item has been in situ since purchase, something is eating the stuff but not setting off trap. refilling it is a real pain as getting box open is a nighmare. i'm hopeful it will catch a rat one day as they are eating the blocks i put out in the other tunnels i have
